Seems to have more to do with the acting to me. Either they turn in dull performances, or else ham it up to the 11. The characters also tend to be cardboard cutouts of stereotypes and the scenes are cliche and paint-by-numbers. Dungeons and Dragons could've been pretty good with a better writer and better acting.Redem said:You know is that me or there actually very little fanasy/adventure movie that are good?
I think it has to do with the exposition and inconsistence that a magic base system are easier to mishandle in a movie than in book, because of time limit and a variety of other factor.
FWIW, "Hercules" is on Netflix Instant in some territories.IndianaJonny said:How many people (myself included) have now rushed over to Amazon trying to find a copy of Hercules?
I find Hasslehoff's Starcrash is another prime contender for the 'so bad it's good' category.
Gods... I'm so glad my players aren't stoners. They're already big enough morons as they are now...GuiltBlade said:What do you mean "If" D'n'D had stoners? That's what the players are there for.

Heh, that doesn't suprise me; they both have a fantastic, un/mis-directed exuberance about them. Shame the Razzies didn't arrive till after the release of Starcrash.MovieBob said:FWIW, "Hercules" is on Netflix Instant in some territories.
"Starcrash" is actually from the same director, Luigi Cozzi - although the U.S. prints usually said "Lewis Coates" in order to hide the fact that they were Italian productions (by the early 80s, the budget-theater circuit was so saturated with cheap Italian imports that people started getting wise to the idea that lots of Italian names in the credits probably meant low-budget knockoff.)
Yeah, agree with you there. I'm up for seeing Nat-P in a Armoured bikiniaaronmcc said:except Nat-P has a body like WOW oh WOW! Knightly is pretty but in an androgynous stick figure stylee.vrbtny said:To be honest, seeing the trailer, I mistook Natalie Portman as Kiera Knightely....
