So, if you hadn't heard about it already, a group of the Escapists from the UK met up over the weekend.
[HEADING=2]Friday[/HEADING]
We met up at about Midday in King's Cross Station in London and eventually identified each other as the huddle of awkward nerds. We did have some idea of who to look for from photos and some of us had mobile numbers to ring people to make sure without being too embarassed.
When I first arrived at King's Cross that day I was one of the first to arrive, except the Scots (Simriel [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/Simriel], Internutt [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/internutt] & Walker100 [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/Walker100?friend=1]) who had arrived at around 8am and had been shopping for most of the day, as we saw from the Forbidden Planet bags, heaving with loot. I did find them sitting in a corner, but was unsure if they were Escapists so after another look around I bumped into some Escapists I knew (Geek@Heart [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/Geek@Heart] and Revelo [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/Revelo]), who introduced me to Theflyingpeanut [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/theflyingpeanut], Blackcherry [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/blackcherry] and Gooble [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/Gooble].
Soon enough, though, my suspicions were confirmed as the Scots came over and introduced themselves, shortly followed by GloatingSwine [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/GloatingSwine], then Sky14kemea [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/sky14kemea] and Jharry5 [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/Jharry5].
