not really, a dumb post is a dumb post no matter who did it. next person to make a thread with something to do with ODST i WILL scream at
Well that's bad, because I'm writing a review of it.
it's been reviewed a lot on here already, we really don't need another review.
People can review anything they want. Besides, I wanted to try writing a review, and it's the most recent game I've played.

Nah, there's really no reason to make someone feel higher up just because they have more posts or a better avatar.

I think there's only one kind of discrimination that's really prominent on these forums, and that's discrimination against users who don't make use of the search bar before starting another topic on a heavily discussed issue.

Of course, the lashing those kinds of users get isn't entirely undeserved.

You're only saying that 'cause you have a high post count :)

Just kidding. The reason I like the Escapist so much is becasue i can actually have meaningful conversations with people without discrimination or flaming, though there was an incident recently I'll not go into.

I've noticed that having conservative attitudes towards just about anything gets you blacklisted here, kind of sad really, we claim to be a pretty tolerant and open place but our in our own way, quite intolerant.

Very true, I get spammed and sent all kinds of hate-mail for being conservative. Kind of ironic...

No o_O
Sometimes the newbies with 5 posts don't know the ropes yet, so we try teach them, but that's about it.

hmmm, I've seen no. post discrimination b4. but mostly from retards who shouldnt be on here any ways.
There seems to be discrimination against certain threads though. Like fanboy threads(halo more specifically) and hate threads( do you hate _______ as much as i do). really, i go into forums sometimes just to troll(but im usually either tired or wasted...or both) but intellectuals who ive seen hold intelligent conversations go into these forums and do nothing but whine and complain about why whining and complaining or (fanboying?) is retarded.
Now, I know the escapist takes pride in its relative coherence as compared to other websites and their forums but is being a dick completely necessary?
wait, on second thought.......
nevermind
escapist, Dont you go changing on me now!

No, although I take posters who have been here longer a lot more seriously than a newbie who just joined today. So if I see anyone from like Feb making a bad thread I will berate them harder than someone who joined in Sep.

Sad isn't it? Oh well, at least the raging hypocrisy gives me a wonderful laugh.

Anyway, I'm not sure I even agree with classic political labels anymore, seeing as I'm fairly inclined towards the center in terms of having some issues where I'm staunchly conservative (immigration, death penalty) and others where I am liberal (abortion, socialism).

Well, a low one means you're a noob. Can't deny the facts.

But I agree, look at IndigoDingo. He had one of the highest post counts, but I think everyone mostly hated his guts.

I've seen some possible discrimination against conservative and religious people as well, but nothing clear-cut enough to be subject to moderation.
