Where are they?

In your profile page, there's a link called "Forum and Notification Options." In there, there's a drop-down menu called "Disable Badges." Switch that from Yes to No and you're good.

Really? That's weird. Is there a setting for it or something that might be turned off?

Apparently, there's a "Disable Badges" setting in a "Forum Browsing Options" section.

Ah, another problem solved by the IT Crowd troubleshooting

1. Did you try turning it off and on again?
2. Is it plugged in.
3. You're fucked.

OT: Yeah, I noticed some slowness. For some reason it didn't occur to me that E3 was happening at the same time, though... I mean I read some news about it and shortly after I was wandering why was there so much traffic to the Escapist. I somehow couldn't connect the two >.<

Okay, now what is the deal with a forum signature? I mean in general, why would you need that? Your name is already displayed.

Haven't you been to other forums? The signature is a a piece of text and/or images that gets added to all your posts. It's there to make you sound profound or really obnoxious.

Oh I know what it is, it's completely f-ing pointless. I mean 'Real' forums have a quote button and if what you were saying was profound someone else would be quoting you. Hmmm I guess that would make me one of the most profound people on the escapist

Yeah sorry, that got lost in the writing and editing of my message - it's supposed to make you feel you sound profound, not actually do. And at most it may make you seem obnoxious. That's what I meant.
