If my personal experience is anything to go by, the division in how you're treated has more to do with whether or not you have an avatar, so you're good to go. I really don't think there's any point in worrying about it. Sure, people with ridiculously high post counts have some vague feeling of knowledge to them, but I haven't come across anybody complaining about someone elses low post count. So, basically, don't be a dick and you'll be fine. Also, welcomeThe Serpent said:Hi. I'm new.
No, this is not your dad's "Hey, imma newb here guys, please welcome me"-thread, I just want to know the lay of the land. So how are noobs viewed here, and when do you seize being a noob?
I'm a long time lurker. I've been here since Yahtzee started in 2007. I remember watching Heavenly Sword and Other Stuff one of the first days of high school that August. But enough of that. If I want to gain my Escapist-cred I need to know how it is measured here. Post count? Detailed profil? Join date (I'm screwed)? Or is it your classic "being an intelligent and pleasant person instead of whatever everyone else on the Internet is being"?
Yours truly,
Me
