So I recently got my first car, and needless to say I love it. So I was wondering, how many escapist out there are learning to drive/recently passed?

I drive stick, LIKE MEN DO. On my mum's Volkswagen Suran. It's such a lovely car for urban driving.

I have a learners, and know how to drive fine. I hate driving though, too many assholes. That and Vegas has the worst road/traffic light maintenance in history.

We also have this:

I have a provisional but I'm still getting used to road driving. There's something about 30 ton timber lorries coming the other way at 50 on a single track lane that can put a beginner off driving for a while..no idea what it could be though.

Learning to drive, extremely terrified though
You'll be terrified all the way through learning to drive, and the best part is that you'll learn so much more about driving AFTER you pass your test. Seriously, in the week after I passed my test, I improved probably as much as I had over the entirety of my driving lessons.

You take lessons to learn how to pass your test, you pass your test to learn how to drive.

I passed last September and I've loved being able to drive, opens up so much of the world for you.

I took lessons last year, passed my theory, and failed the driving test three times. The third one was especially close, and imo a nicer examiner would have passed me. Guess I just got sick of it after that, waste of money but oh well. I couldn't see myself driving a lot anyway.

Got my license in April, got a car in May. A '95 Volvo 850 Sedan. I love it. Its built like a tank, has decent mileage and fuel economy but can still go like stink when i tell it to. Only issues is its an Automatic and I'd prefer a manual, but i can very easily live with it. To all those who haven't got it yet, go get your license. The freedom it brings is awesome.

This.
I've had my license for almost 4 years now, but I still remember those first few weeks of driving on my own... you learn those important rules of the road, like how slowly building up speed while driving onto the freeway will get you nowhere during rush hour. xD

Im still learning, but due to time constraints i haven't been able to get the hours required to move onto the next test. Like cmon 120 hours, that doesn't stop bad drivers, it just puts off everyone. Stupid law.
