I think that Bungie had a great idea when they added auto recording to Halo 3. I now have a bunch of great clips of stuff that I will never see again in a million years.

Although I wish more games would have it like when I was playing MW2 last night and I was about to be killed by a guy while I was reloading after killing his teammate who just threw a smoke signal for a package and right before he shot me it fell on him, killing him, and allowing me to get the package.

So have you ever wished that you were recording something while playing online or off.

yep just today to be in fact

i was playing bbc2 on a rush mode in arica harbor as a engineer as defenders. i snuck into the enemy base and killed the guy on the uav with my repair tool! then i killed a sniper with a rocket launcher head shot! then i killed a bunch of people with my sub machine gun and won the game.

i love killing people on that game because i know they can see what i do to their bodies after their dead!

for some reason i think dice made that death thing for the porpoise of t-bagging

Funny stuff like glitches or just blind luck happen to me all the time and I wish most, if not all, games had an auto record.

So yeah, I feel your pain.

YES!

On Red Dead Redemption earlier, me and my friend were the only people in a Free for All match, and he needed headshot. I knelt down and he blasted me in the head with his revolver. It looked just like an execution in a film. Tragically epic.

For your pc: It's called Fraps.
For your consoles: It's called a video capture card.

Problem solved.

I remember playing Team fortress 2 and managed to have one awesome round as a spy. In short: I managed to backstab 19 people, sapped alot of buildings and gennerally managed to piss off the opposing team. Wish I could have recored that turn.

Can't always keep FRAPS running though, the high-quality videos just eat up HD space like crazy plus it can cause lag in newer games.

Methinks a 'save last 10 minutes' or somesuch feature in games would be fantastic. Most RTS allow you to save replays, so why not allow similar features in other genres?

A 1 Terrabyte external hard drive on average can run you 80 USD.

Also, maybe think of building your own PC, problems with lag gone.

to put it simply all the time. It would also allow me to perhaps one day do a video review for the review section, I'd like attempting to do that.

Those things are expensive and often have some form of DRM preventing people from recording.

On-Topic: I generally play with Fraps so I can get screenshots of awesome things. Disabled video capture because I can't figure out how to keep winamp/skype out of the video.(sucks to have a video made unusable because winamp of skype is heard in the background)

I grenade launchered a Helicopter in Bad Company 1. It was going down onto the ground, I flipped out my launcher and fired. Luckiest Shot in the world.

Mine was 35 USD.

Diamond VC500, never had a problem, recording ANYTHING.

Expensive for Macs moreso considering the cheapest one for a Mac is 100 USD.

I did build this computer, and it has served me well.

Not everyone knows how though, nor does everyone (Including myself) have a massive external HD to store video on or the money right now to buy one.

Practically speaking only the most 'hard core' would even know what half this stuff is. For simple fun, a game built-in recorder could be fantastic. I think it's a good idea for a feature in most games.

Playing Prototype a month or so back, I was disguised as a soldier and helping fight monsters for lulz. It wasn't a complicated fight so I was doing a bit of button mashing when I activated autolock to find something else to punch.

Autolock slows the game down a bit like bullet time and I was moving to head away from my location.

Well, I accidentally completed the uppercut move so I was Shoryuken'ing an old man into the air in slow motion as Hunters were fighting tanks in front of another explosions. Because I was disguises are a marine, it looked like some kind of awesome recruiting poster.

I uttered to my friend. "Join the Marines. Hunt terrorists, fight monsters, uppercut grandpa..."

The thing is, I'm not saying the idea is a bad feature, all I'm saying is I wouldn't expect it so work on your own end for it.

I agree. More games should have auto recording. Does anyone have that sort of tech licensed, or do people just not use it?

It's not easy to find any information on those things. Hell, the cheapest I've found was 70 euros and that did the same as that Diamond VC500.(personally I'm looking for something with hdmi input but I guess those things don't exist or are too expensive)

Yup, I wish i had a recorder for multiple times on bfbc2

The one i remember most was when me and my mate were on the losing side and there was like 20 spawn tags left on atacama desert conquest mode. so we jumped in the american humvee and flew through the map gunning down anything while being chased by the enemys HIND helicopter, and we shoot it down before losing, looked very epic and kinda reminded me of scenes from Blackhawk down.

And the few times ive shot helicopters down with the heavy tanks at long range.

I've never seen one with HDMI but if you want I'll keep looking around and update you if I see one?
