I hate that word. It annoys me to death and if I could I would throw a baseball at it.

Let me elaborate. I think the main reason for the console war in Exclusive titles. A big sequal comes out that only the PS3 owners will be able to play. This of course makes the fans of the series that are on the 360 side of the battlefield angry and the flamewars begin.

And we all HATE flamewars right?

Imagine there's no flame wars. It isn't hard to do. No PS3 guy yelling. Above us no 360 kid.

Back to the point. So I hate exclusive titles. But don't they contribute to the balance of it all. If they were to be no exclusive titles it would all come down to the machine itslef.
And everything would become pretty unbalanced.

The point of this post was that I wanted to see what your thoughts on exclusive titels are. S

The age of exclusives is dieing. Companies have found out they can double their money by releasing on all consoles rather than just one. It seems only contractually obligations are being met for exclusives from thrid parties.

Agreed, that aside people would just argue about weather a game was better on one console or another. And so begins the new fanboy(and girl) wars.

Wow the Xbox 2360, that sounds awesome is it like the 360 only... plus 2000 or something?

yessems I am a massive fan of the MGS series but im not into the new consoles because im more of a pc man so i chose a high spec pc rather that a console. I know mgs has always been PS exclusive but thats becuase intill recently playstation hasnt had competetion! Come on guys face facts the 360 is more popular be senseable!

Soo i am still waiting to play MGS 4

Exclusives are loved by the companies that make the consoles but not by the companies who develop the games. The people who develop the consoles love exclusives because it's a way to help push more consoles out the door but developers like to sell their games to all platforms because it means more money for them. Exclusives are also what make or break deals for those who are having trouble picking which console to buy. I know friends who were planning on buying the PS3 simply because they were waiting for Final Fantasy XIII, but since they heard it was coming for both the 360 and PS3 they went with the 360.

I can think of 4 people who would literally kill themselves with the Final Fantasy series were to be released to Microsoft. Then I tell them that half of the games are on the PC, and they nerdrage at my face. Good times.
