If she is still crazy then what's the point of all the stuff Link did?
It's not so much that Erin is still crazy, but rather she was always a bit crazy.
So basically, she was always like this, but when she started seeing videogame characters, it really took it to the next level.

Well, it now seems she doesnt need those VGC to stay at the level of crazy.
Yeah, but now it doesn't seem as fun as it use to be.

She was always a bit psychotic, but it use to be in an almost endearing way.
Now Erin is more like the kind of person who you try not to sit next to on the bus out of fear.

Erin Stout--Manic Pixie Dream Girl.

Oh, right. Not all dreams are good, and not all pixies are friendly. Though, I hope she doesn't use her illness as a continuous excuse. It should be used as a crutch to try and improve, not a shield to try and forgo blame or repercussions.

Its remarkable both fire's occurred at the same time of day too! :p
Arson is more meaningful in the waning hours. This is commonly accepted fact. It allows people to get in a mindset to appreciate the sublime in losing their worldly possessions. Also, easier to see what's already on fire.

At least now she didn't kill the stray cat.
maybe she likes cats enough to not set them on fire?

granted she tried throwing an Xbox at some one she liked but maybe animals get some sort of free pass

Aye, I was looking at the cop's watch - even down to the minute! ;)

Er... This strip feels really negative about people with mental illness. I'm sure most people in Erin's position don't try to use their illness/disability as a excuse for every unacceptable thing they do.
I hear comedians sometimes make fun of other people.

I know, I was surprised too.

Seriously though, I sincerely doubt they deliberately were trying to offend people with psychological issues, nor were they making a sweeping statement about their behaviour. I am not sure why people are getting so tetchy about everything nowadays, even bad humour has always been recognised for what it is, but now it's like everybody wants to be offended on purpose.

I don't mean to complain, but could we get back to strips about Erin ripping on video games? All this angsty drama is getting under my skin a bit.

I like that the Before has an earlier hair design for Erin.
I particularly liked that the only difference she went through (as well as the police officer) was a change in hair. xD

I love the subtlety. In the before panel, Erin's hair is reminiscent of older comics.
Oh yeah, I just noticed that now. Nice shout-out to older strips.
Was today's strip a rebuttal to the previous one having Erin's boss call her fat? That we shouldn't sympathize with Erin because deep down, she's just an awful person? Nice to see she's patched things up with Molly, though.

Agreed, and just name dropping TF2 as an excuse for arson ain't enough.

I guess I just don't find this funny. "Look at this whiny person with mental health issues" just isn't... funny to me. It's a bit tragic.

I've heard plenty of jokes about mental illness that I do find funny. Comedians can make jokes about what they like as far as I'm concerned. But the essential feature of comedy is that it is funny.

None of the stuff about Erin throwing an Xbox at Mol's head or randomly picking a fight in a bar has seemed like it's intended to be funny. It seems like an attempt at serious drama. And it's falling a bit flat for me.

I'm not offended. I just generally read comics to get cheered up, not get depressed. Guess I should just read a different one!

Of course Erin has to be cute while being a psycho, especially by leaning like that.
