Technically she did take responsibility in the 'before' shot while she's trying to avoid it in 'after'.

Which guy did she punch this time? I've been re-reading the entire series and GRACIOUS but Erin's been a basket case since day one.

*fan whine* Bring back Penny and her Fillion obsession!!!!

I'd forgotten Penny, literally forgotten about her--we haven't seen her since she broke the 4th Wall during the ME3 riots.
Penny is running for governor in Georgia on a tea party ticket. Being insane and having weird obsessions is no bar to success in politics, in fact it helps.

Er... This strip feels really negative about people with mental illness. I'm sure most people in Erin's position don't try to use their illness/disability as a excuse for every unacceptable thing they do.
I hear comedians sometimes make fun of other people.

I know, I was surprised too.

Seriously though, I sincerely doubt they deliberately were trying to offend people with psychological issues, nor were they making a sweeping statement about their behaviour. I am not sure why people are getting so tetchy about everything nowadays, even bad humour has always been recognised for what it is, but now it's like everybody wants to be offended on purpose.
I guess I just don't find this funny. "Look at this whiny person with mental health issues" just isn't... funny to me. It's a bit tragic.

I've heard plenty of jokes about mental illness that I do find funny. Comedians can make jokes about what they like as far as I'm concerned. But the essential feature of comedy is that it is funny.

None of the stuff about Erin throwing an Xbox at Mol's head or randomly picking a fight in a bar has seemed like it's intended to be funny. It seems like an attempt at serious drama. And it's falling a bit flat for me.

I'm not offended. I just generally read comics to get cheered up, not get depressed. Guess I should just read a different one!
That is fair enough, and I can't really argue with it. To be honest I don't particularly find a lot of it funny, but I think it is mainly because it seems to rarely about games any more. There's nothing wrong with that in essence, but it's not why I started reading it.

So, wait, did she punch that Phillip-guy from the cartoon before this one? Or what's this about? That guy looks like a grizzly, I doubt he even felt it.

So I guess Erin and Molly got past the whole awkward "Xbox-throwing-wrestling-match-shouting-contest-pantless-late-night-infiltration" affair?

Upthread, there was the suggestion that this is Erin's sister. That people can't tell is something else.

I guess I appreciate that this strip is at least trying to differentiate the "omg, srs for srs" storyline from the "wacky, zany isn't she a hoot?" storyline. I mean, loads of webcomics have sociopath-for-laughs protagonists, it's just that (by footnote and main text) we're also supposed to feel sorry for her, or empathize with her plight or somesuch. Honestly, while I do feel for actual people with mental conditions, I don't think the heavy lifting's been done to make Erin tap into that at all. If that's a deliberate choice, fine, but pick one. Don't waffle,

Uh uh, impossible, obviously the gaming-condition made her act destructive, it's scientifically proven, by people with degrees or something!
This strip is stupid.
I'm early for opposite day ;(
This joke is genious.
I could go on forever...
