Why must my method of donation be via my parents, who are on a "tight pursestrings policy" right now?
Here's hoping you cover the extra required!

This is pretty much not a thread for him (and me, by association) to explain why some might really, passionately dislike that show. There was a thread, I could link it but it's really just a massive flamewar.SpiderJerusalem said:You hate the only worthwhile show on the Escapist? I can't donate now, sadly.
True.-Dragmire- said:yeah, we have free health care, but the wait times for non-immediate surgery are horrible.King Toasty said:Three hours? Impressive.
Of course, this wouldn't be needed here in Canada. *shameless bragging*
....We must do science. How much would this cost? Hmmm.-Dragmire- said:King Toasty said:-Dragmire- said:How high do you think a 20k twinkie mountain would rise?ksn0va said:I better not catch you guys buying $20k worth of twinkies!
OT: Good luck in the surgery Alison! Hope Extra Credits continues without problems but I'd understand if they need some time off.
Wait. How large is a regular twinkie, and how much are singles? We can solve with with math. And science. It's important.
sorry, derailing a bit but I can't help myself
source:http://www.twinkiesproject.com/density.html..."dimensions of a Twinkie (2.7 cm x 9.9 cm x 3.8 cm)..."
Normal Twinkie volume: 2.7 cm x 9.9 cm x 3.8 cm =101.6 cm³

This isn't about Extra Credits. Allison doesn't just do Extra Credits and, hell, even if she did, it's still a worthwile cause pretty much.
It sounds like they have all the money they need so I'll just wish Allison well and say how amazing it is that such a huge amount of money has been raised in just five hours. I have no idea how a developed country can survive without national healthcare, hearing things like this just sicken me. They'd honestly let her go without surgery?Yassen said:Edit 2: At time of writing we've raised $23,387 and the money just continues to roll in. I know Allison will appreciate everything we've done but I speak for myself when I say thankyou to everyone who donated money to keep this amazing show on the web. YOU GUYS ROCK!
f**k. ninja'd. any way i love extra credits and i hope they can continue teaching me on my way to becoming a designer. The Epicosity said:Damn, I really want to help, but am really too young to convince my parents to or try and give you guys money myself. :/
I hope you get better, Allison!
Just keep doing what you guys do best and that'll be thanks enough for us! (or at least, for me) And tell Allison there's more where that came from! Seriously, if she needs any more help, just ask and watch the miracles fly. (Like they haven't already)Daniel Floyd said:Words cannot express how amazed I am with this community right now. Thank you, guys. ALL of you.
Well, I know a videogame character with a law degree, although I don't think that would help much.Mouse One said:Know any videogame fans with a law degree? Might be able to swing probono (I did).
