If you remember the first demo of fear 2 being played at E3 or something, that was amazing. it used the same gun and blood effects along with pretty much the same engine. It would have been good if they didnt muff up the effects engine. they took the nice feel of kinetic impact out.
But jeez, I am kinda bummed now. I was hoping they would rock out with their weiners out for this game.
BTW: This is what I am talking about. Note the differences in the gun fights. Dont fix what aint broken

Ah, thanks for reminding me of yet another reason I hate Project Origin:
The glowy effect that surrounds your enemies when you engage SlowMo. Bloody hell, that was just
not aesthetically befitting for visceral combat.
Also, at least the original FEAR's gore was awesome because it didn't happen all the bloody time. Too much of a good thing can turn it into a bad thing.
I really hope they scale the gore back to its original levels and kill the glowy effect. If they do, it'll go a long way towards making the combat far more visceral again.
