Someone on here suggested that Fable 3 could be slightly steampunkish, which I thought was a fantastic idea, I think it's a sure bet that the third game will be a few hundred years in the future, just like the second game was.
No, it should be a prequel. Fable in the stone ages.

I didnt think the game was that bad, but better and more variety of weapons and better character customization.

I was watching a game review on playr and Lionhead has something in development which is top secret, so maybe there is a fable 3 in the works.

Let's just get something straight, Fable 2 isn't a bad game. In truth, I found it was much better than a lot of other games in this day and age. It would have been better if it had brought more new things to the field. The dog NPC was a good addition and the NPCs act less like residents of the Uncally Valley than in other games (Elder Scrolls IV...) but for Fable 3, I just hope it includes three things:

1. Killing dragons.
2. Making out with princesses.
3. A good story for once.

And knowing Lionhead, they will take my suggestions and throw them into a pit filled with flaming jaguars.

EDIT: Actually, that "flaming jaguars" thing sounds pretty cool. I want those in there too.

And now, The Great JT responds to people:

They're probably just giving us DLC while they work on the design document for Fable 3.

It will most likely suck like 1 and 2
I've never got what is so seductive about these titles.
I mean, I look at Fable and I immediately say ,"This is shit, everything about this game is pathetic and it has some form of fractured mirror of a combat system"

I was playing Fallout 3 with a friend the other day, he had a supermutant as a party memeber. He turned around and noticed he wasn't behing him, so he ran back to find the mutant. When he found him stuck behind a train he said ,"WHAT ARE YOU DOING? You...retard" he lowered his voice speaking out loud to a supermutant in a game he subconciously convinced himself had feelings. Only good RPG's can do that to you. Also I shit myself laughing when he said it, ah, good times.

Fallout 1 and 2 rock also.
or he could be just so pissed and annoyed that he needs to yell to get his anger out

My brother yells at every damn game he plays, just because they piss him off

i think that fable 3 should in the far future like mass effect so you could chose your skin colour because being a boy or girl is all very well but ii say plenty of black people in fable 2 take garth for instance and you couldnt change your skin colour

Since the release of the giant turd that was Fable 2, I am not expecting much of Lionhead anymore. It will probably just be the same old random plot with that one random dude, saving the random world.
Indeed, this is the most likely scenario.

Storyline-wise... set it around the time the heroes guild was being dissolved. That would make a good story. Also, its always about this one place called Albion. You seriously telling me there's nothing beyond Albion's shores?

Albion also goes from being a unified country to being a dissapated ruin of its former self between fable 1 and 2. I'd allow your character to either halt or delay that happening... or accelerate it. There should be different factions vying for control... Bowerstone's mayor trying to keep the country together, the head of the guild could continue his/her role of effectively being a mercenary chief keeping tabs on the various heroes and stepping in to interfere or aid the hero as he/she see's fit. The queen of blades could make an appearance as main villain... perhaps.

The combat needs to be more challenging. Seriously, the fighting in both fables was a walkthrough, I don't think I died once in Fable 2. The current battle system works fine though, keep it.

Does anyone else think making the bandits have an actual role in the storyline is a good idea? You know, instead of just being your ubiquitous enemies, have them have different factions and leaders and make interacting with them important; you should even be able to become a bandit and rise to chief. Take a Twinblade questline.

Finally, the world should be something you can interact within totally and realistically. When you talk to people, you should be able to chat with strangers amicably, flirt with people, barter actively with merchants, persuade enemies to stop attacking you, and basically, talk to everyone and anyone as the situation demands using conversation trees. You should be able to destroy towns or found them with your followers, and you should be able to build your influence and support (being able to build your own private army of followers complete with equipment would be so cool.) You should be able to run for office, set up your own guild and progress within one (a proper working guild, not a mages guild or something like that.) You should be able to rise to the top of each faction, whether that be a bandit gang or the guild or bowerstone's social structure, and build buisiness empires or criminal networks as necessary to fill your coffers. A sailing element might be good too. Being able to forge your own weapons and armour and make tools would be great. In short, you should be able to forge a powerful, unified kingdom or reduce Albion to a flaming ruin as you see fit.

In other words, I'd recommend to Fable 3 what I'd recommend to any RPG of this type... difference being here that Lionhead might actually pull it off if they get themselves together and really go for it.

Alright, so your gonna be a boy or girl, and your gonna start out as a kid, then something traumatic will happen, and some one will save you. You will grow to a man or women and set out on an epic quest to find out what happened to (insert family member, friend, set of pogs, here) only to shockingly find out it was the very person who saved you who is in control of it all, you will make some choices that either make you ugly or selfish, do dumb dances around a city to get some poontang and in the end either sacrifice all, many, or few, based on your own personal choosing, and selfishness. Peter Molyneux needs to understand that moral decisions lose some of the morality cause the average person is aware that they are playing a video game, and don't care.

Theresa is already in another game its star wars Knights of the old republic II and is called kreia ,she looks the same, speaks in the same manner ,plays the same role in the game its even the same god damn voice actor

Its a different voice actor. Zoe Wanamaker is the voice in Fable 2, god knows who that is in Kotor 2.

I thought it was obvious what the plot of Fable 3 would be after the last expansion.

You play the child of your character in Fable 2.

You are the king of all the land. you dont play the child of your guy in fable 2. you are a ruler, you make decisions and you have to keep your rule of the land and fight the basic enemies you came across in Fable 2, but also there are some different enemies. also there are a lot of new weapons. :)

You will have a character and after a 2hour tutorial/introduction you need to defeat 3 bosses to get to the end boss and save the world. the end.
