I'm buying a Xbox 360 and I would like to know which game is better? What are the Pros and Cons of Fable 2 and Prototype and which one should I get?
Instead of suggesting another mainstream title you could buy, like some incredibly hilarious people have done already.
I'll provide the Pros and cons.
Fable 2: The game is actually all right, if you're willing to ignore some serious story flaws and go in expecting absolutely none of the "Freedom" the game tries to shove in your face as a selling point, it's got a replay value of about three more runs through after the original run through, because three is all you need to play a neutral, evil and good character (You might get one more if you want to play a fat nudist)
Overall, it's a good game, rent worthy at best (although I got the collector's edition) you'll play it for as long as the story lasts which is lengthened by HAVING to play side-quests and indulging Molyneux's fantasy that every gamer is capable of falling in love with a dog/family made of pixels... really ANNOYING pixels...
Prototype: Brilliant for dicking about in, the powers are pretty fun to use, the story can easily be ignored, the graphics are arguably lousy.*
(*I never saw any problem with them)
The story is a mess, in a literal sense, the majority of it is spread around in the heads of random NPCs.
But really it is fun to play, even when you play the story it's not so bad.
So yeah, great for wasting time, pretty good for story.
Just, watch out for a boss called Elizabeth Greene.
I'm not kidding I read a walkthrough for that boss that actually said "You win through blind luck alone."
So yeah, either game I was recommend, but really only for renting.
