I'm just hoping that we actually get it. He told us that we would be getting a Fable 2 PC but then it never panned out. Laaaaame.

Why is the PC so jipped?

I'll buy a used copy of Fable 3 on whatever system or platform it happens to be for sale on at the time. I won't pay more than $15 though, Its just not that good of a game.

Ah well, The Lost Chapters was much better on the PC anyways. We didn't get suckered into buying the same game twice just to get a few hours extra content like the Xbox people.
And it was well-optimized.

In fact, the last poorly optimized game converted from Xbox 360 to PC was GTA IV. Other than that, Gears of War, Devil May Cry 4, Assassin's Creed 2, Mass Effect 2, Battlefield Bad Company 2... all working nicely. And Force Unleashed patched works too.

Its simple really ...

Realease the title on the Console first, then announce the PC version will be delayed , then announce the PC version is 'enhanced' and then sell the PC version to both PC only gamers and a good portion of the Console gamers who are curious to see how much is enhanced.

... more money, plus you dont risk those who have both a 360 and a PC from buying just the one version.

Take note that there is actually somewhat of a modding scene going on for Lost Chapters. They've come up with some interesting things.

I already knew this news already, isn't a little bit late to post it?

Whatever...

I never liked Fable, so I do not care.

An hooray for Blizzard BTW!

This doesn't surprise me at all. PC gamers are once again being shafted in order to better pander to the console audience.
Yup. Which is sad, as I was actually planning to switch my order from Xbox to PC. I dunno, if its THAT good, I'll buy the PC copy later. But hey, I'm just abit wreckless with my cash.

id love to think they wanted to make it more refined for PC as console gamers just wanna play it and be done with it...maybe some mod tools or something...

but id imagine MS just paid them to release later on PC :/
Or they'll just make a shitty console game port to PC.

Oh no! I'll have to wait a little longer for Fable III, a game that could be re-titled "Disappointment" and be much more appropriately titled.

I also hear it's only available as a download on Microsoft's god-awful GFWL dis-service.

Was that last statement better to be a bitter comeback, or a proper news snippet-it you thought would be relevant?

Well, hopefully it leads to a better product, I know everyone will complain now, but if they rushed it out, everyone would complain about "shitty port".

I hate when games that got started on the PC, turn around and screw it in the ass (see: GTA).... Then again I've never really liked Fable.

I cant help but to wonder if this isnt done to allow a period of exclusivity toward the 360 out of fear that if the PC version is simo released, a lot of people considering the game, will opt for the PC version, and instead of buying it, downloading it illegally.

I mean if there is really an impending PC gaming death which has been fortold by the sages for over a decade now, Isnt the root of it still at the fear of a game being pirated, thus causing devs to bypass porting to PC simply so they can ensure they get the same profit out of that 1/10th of 1% of people who actually pirate the games in the first place?

Me myself and I.. I will most likely be waiting for the PC version to come out. However, given the disparity of time from delayed launch I think it would be fair to reprice the PC version of the game at a ratio equal to the then current pricing of the console version. Such as console copy on release would be 60$ where as the PC release would be 50. Now say it takes 2 months from console release to PC. A new copy of the game for console by that time may be as low as 35$.. so given the fact it took that long does it really seem fair to still pay 50$ for the PC version when you can get a new copy for 35 on console? Which if im not mistaken very well might still steer the buyer to pick up the console version over the PC, and none of that takes into account the impact of used copies.

I really get the feeling that this might be the strategy for the future of PC gaming, Purposely delaying PC port releases, in order to try to milk the money out of the less than piratable console releases first.
