Ever since I deleted my facebook account weeks ago, I have never felt so free.
Sadly is not possible.

You can only "de-activate" it. It takes a year or something before it actually gets deleted apparently.

I learnt that the hard way.
Google it. Facebook makes the page hard to find, but it is possible. You just have to do absolutely nothing involving Facebook for 14 days once the process starts.
Which includes coming across those little "like" buttons on the internet. Good luck to anyone who still wants to surf the net and try and dodge those things. They're freaking everywhere.
Delete your cookies. The like buttons are now no longer on your account. You can click em and nothing will happen.

They only work because facebook stores a tracking cookie in your browser.

I doubt changing your password is going to change anything. The third party apps don't have access to your password.
Facebook is okay for me.

This is why I block every single app that appears in my feed.

I've accumulated quite a collection.

Most of them are horoscopes, though. I'm so f**king sick of horoscopes on Facebook

If it wasn't for the fact that Facebook is my only means of communication with friends and family I don't get to see all that often, I would've deleted my Facebook a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time ago.

Ok I sorted now with my new password (I don't have third party aps but I may as well be on the safe side). I wonder if those random phonecalls I gotten in the past was link from Facebook?
They've been busted before for selling your phone number if you gave it to them...I went through that mess myself recently. I called the number back and asked to be taken off their list several times, but they ignored it. Ended up having to get a new number.
