Kotor, i had played the whole game light side up until malak's big revelation. after that i had only one mission, kill bastila
One of the best moments in gaming for me, I never really got mad at Bastila though, never saw the point. Still wanted to kill Malak though for trying to off Revan before.

Silent Hill 2 & 3 were pretty epic. Lots of emotion from my part.

In Starcraft: Brood war, when Kerrigan made me kill Fenix. I had to cheat my way through that map. I just couldn't do it. Just assassinated Duke and moved to the next map.

If ya don' man, I don' wanna be seein' what my employers is gunna be doin' to ma face, get it!? BOO-YAH!"

In The Darkness when you go to investigate the blown up orphanage where you grew up, and after picking around the rubble looking for the bad guys then
Jenny is killed
I really understood how Jackie must have felt at that moment. Especially since he was watching through a window, and you're kind of watching via your TV through his eyes - no other game has put me into the role of the protagonist quite the same way The Darkness did at that moment.
This. The Darkness didn't push many boundaries in it's design, but the characters were some of the most easy to empathize with in any game I've played. They were all genuinely believable and you can get really involved with their lives.

That and the GTA ending, that pissed me off a lot too.
