It's called being "too dramatic."

I like the idea, and will give it a go, but my hopes for a cool series emerging from this trailer are... minimal.

Yeah, the trailer didn't look that great. But then again, the Walking Dead's trailer didn't really do all that much for me either, but I'm loving it. I guess if I have nothing better to do that night I'll check it out.

Just for once, I'd like to see someone other than Americans fighting off an alien invasion and/or zombie apocalypse.

And what is with everything trying to be Independence Day right now? Alien invasion movies/shows are the new bandwagon.

Yes, and I was just getting settled into the whole zombie things. What a shame.

About your complaint about America always fighting off disasters; so what? America may want to get killed off by every worldly, and otherworldly threat... I'm fine just laying back in Vancouver.

Actually you reminded me of another scifi cliche that's starting to annoy me: everything is being filmed in British Columbia. Seriously, Battlestar, Caprica, all the Stargate series, etc. Now it's not usually a problem if hidden well, but all those planets that just look like B.C.'s forests are starting to annoy me. Also, as much as I enjoyed Caprica, the characters walking by famous Vancouver streets pulled me out of it.

This trailer honestly didn't look like anything special, if they wanted to do a good invasion show they could've tried to bring back Invasion and make the shit hit the fan (which I had been waiting for the entire show).

Alright, so a gruff and somewhat guilty protagonist will fight aliens and wrestle with ethics while trying not to ignore his wife and child, who will probably be in danger near the season finale. Bets?

Given Spielburg's involvement & the plot involving aliens, I expect abandonment issues to play a major part in proceedings.

looks like shet to be honest. Because in terms of Alien Invasion shows, you can't get much better then the original V.

Sooo...anybody else think this is suspiciously like V + War of the Worlds?
Featuring a cross between the xenomorphs and the Predators. It could be a good series, but it looks a bit formulaic.

I don't have cable so will probably never see this, along with Walking Dead but oh well.

A big congratulations has to go out to Neill Blomkemp and District 9 for that last scene because if it wasn't inspired by that I don't know what is :p
Hulu.com TnT.tv torrents (Is that illegal?) there are a bajillion ways to watch a show without cable. I have network TV and never missed a single cable show I wanted to watch.

This can't be Speilberg's work, I didn't see a SINGLE person with a walkie-talkie.
Did you miss the part about EMPs knocking all electronics out?

I don't know about this it looks... cheape(?) compared to The Walking Dead, I'm not too impressed. But then again TWD is as good as tv series come and this is just a trailer so it's too early to judge.

Well, they've got at least one person watching by putting Will Patton in it. The guy's great. Even when in crap.
