That seems to be the smart ting to do with most Bethesda games, or buy it when it comes out and wait for a friend to get the GotY and borrow the 2nd disk.Onmi said:No they just said they Wouldn't (cause Microsoft payed them). Either the money dried up or Sony said "Fuck this the Xbros are saying 'Oh it's a buisness everythings fair' well kid gloves are off"CountFenring said:Cool, was it just me or did Bethesda once say the DLC couldn't be on the PS3 for some reason? I might just be making that up, IDK.
Oddly, the only pieces I'm excited about are Broken Steel and Lookout Point.
Eitherway i'll wait for the GotY edition for the PS3 because i'm not spending 50 dollars on DLC... I also don't actually own the fucking game yet.
That doesnt matter. Fallout 3 isnt Fallout material anyway! Oh oh oh!ThaBenMan said:Finally, all the PS3 people will quit their bitching...
The swamp thing sounds pretty cool (from what little we know about it), but I'm not sure about the alien thing... it just doesn't really seem like Fallout material.
Their explanation was, more or less, that "Sony was going to charge us to host it on the PSN"CountFenring said:Cool, was it just me or did Bethesda once say the DLC couldn't be on the PS3 for some reason?
Yeah, the PS3 owners seem quick to accuse Microsoft of 'paying people off' but it just doesn't seem that this was the case. It wasn't even a timed exclusive, so can you all quit pretending Microsoft is any worse than Sony about things like this?AceDiamond said:Their explanation was, more or less, that "Sony was going to charge us to host it on the PSN"CountFenring said:Cool, was it just me or did Bethesda once say the DLC couldn't be on the PS3 for some reason?
Course that may have been unofficial. Todd Howard had this to say to IGN regarding the announcement that PS3 users couldshut their whiny self-serving pieholesrejoice in getting DLC:
Todd Howard: It's mostly the workload on us. Based on our Oblivion experience, it was clear that Xbox users were much more comfortable buying content, by a wide margin. It's a lot of work to get them ready for a particular platform and now that they've been so popular, we want to get them on the PS3. And there's obviously been a lot of frustration on the part of PS3 owners, who don't feel they are getting the total Fallout 3 experience, and we don't want that to happen. We want everyone to have everything, but we still need to set priorities so we can use our development time wisely.

Hahhh yeah they do, but Bethesda need to focus on making areas more varied in their games.harhol said:If ever a game's corridors needed re-skinning, it's Fallout 3.Svenparty said:The whole world of Fallout 3 felt real because it COULD happen, obviously not on the same scale as Fallout but adding aliens seems like an excuse to reskin a few corridoors.
