I just played and completed Operation Anchorage, and it was by far the best DLC I have ever played. The environments were amazing, awesomely detailed, the story was cool, and it was awesome using all the gear. And finally, I got to wear a set of armor that made me look badass...

My question to the community is, do you think it would be cool to have a game chronicling the Great War? And fight in a few of the battles, etc? Because I'd love to be an American soldier fighting against the Chinese and see what happened in the events leading up to the nuclear proliferation.
Try the snow mods.....

The problem is that the Great War itself only lasted a few hours-it was a nuclear exchange. But I know what you mean. The training level in the tech demo Van Buren (which was going to be Fallout 3 by Black Isle) was the story of your ancestors fighting through communist agitators to get to the vault.

One thing I always wandered about was what degree did the Chinese infiltrate America? There are the Mama Dulce's holdouts, the Point Lookout spy, and some random commandos scattered around the wasteland. Was there ever a ground war in America? There's alot of Chinese hardware lying around for it to just be war trophies. One of the Fallouts mentioned a power-armored expeditionary force that landed on the Chinese mainland. That's who I would like to play as, especially since deathclaws are a biological weapon developed to be planted in China before a full-scale invasion. Maybe that was the expedition's mission.

That is actually a cool idea man. They would have to tweak it to more combat based of course, but it could be fun.

I can rattle off two easy.

The Gauss Rifle is completely broken in VATS. It does about half the usual damage, and critical hits won't do any damage at all.

Second, the Winter T-51b Armor has an item HP stat of 10 million, meaning it will not degrade in your lifetime.
Okay,I knew of the Winterized T-51b one.But never experienced any trouble with the Gauss Rifle in VATS.
I didn't even think the power armour glitch was a glitch...I just thought it was super-awesome armour.

Tell me that O:A was the only DLC you've played.

O:A is regarded as the second worst due to glitchiness and it being linear.
It might be linear. But i never encountered any glitches.

OT:That is an idea that i would personally enjoy.Seeing as how O:A is my second favorite DLC for FO.

How can you knock a Bethesda game for glitches. Everyone seems to like them, and I haven't seen one that wasn't loaded to the rim with them; both minor and game breaking.

what are you talking about? That was the worst DLC. In fact, the best was point lookout because of all of the things you could do. Operation Achorage was boring, pointless, and had extremely boring reward weapons. Also, there was not point in collecting the breifcases containing intel.

I have found no trouble with the Gauss Rifle and I thought the armour was supposed to be like that... you know... to make it awesome.

Don't get me wrong, I like Fallout 3.

I just like my games with a generous helping of "Does What It Says on the Tin". :p

The armor that you get is the same one that the soldiers in the sim use.

The one you were supposed to get is repairable with regular old Power Armor.

Even though it takes forever to degrade, you still can't repair it back to 100%.

...wow...

An Escapist? With an idea for a game which is actually good?

By golly, in the nearly 3 years I've been on this website I've never seen an idea offered by one of us which is genuinely good!

Well done, good sir, bravo to you!

I haven't gotten my hands on any of the DLC yet. I hear O:A is good, but others are even better.

Still, this is a decent idea.

Yes, only get rid of the V.A.T.S. Aiming system, it was cool the first time but just got annoying using it every single time.

But seriously, You sir,Are a genius. You are the only Escape that has came up with a great game idea (except for Yahtzee and his sandbox crime game.)
