I call bullshit on this one but I am also nervous if this is true, part of the reason I was comfortable being able to not pick up an Xbox One is knowledge that Fallout would still be available on PC.

(I would miss Halo so dearly)

Still, just a rumor. Wait till E3.

It wouldn't make sense from both a traditional or business perspective, DLC coming out first I can understand, the game itself?

Well his source is a neogaf user saying something about something a guy from giantbomb said.

So no, not fucking likely.

I think the backlash from the PC community would be very unpleasant and I don't think Bethesda are that stupid. I could see a limited time exclusivity, maybe on the DLC, but the full release of Fallout 4? Fuck no. Maybe they'll announce it at an Xbox event or claim it's exclusive, but it sure as hell won't last.

And you need to consider that the Xbox One, from what we currently know, is only targeted at the US market, in particular it seems to be targeted at the "dudebro" market and idiots with too much money that need all the shinies. So no, why would Bethesda basically axe their own european and asian markets as well as the US PC, PlayStation and even potentially Nintendo markets?

So what your trying to convince me of is that Microsoft has convinced Bethesda to go out of business? I'll believe it when I see it.

Nope, it's not gonna happen. As much as Microsoft would just LOVE for that to happen, it wont. If Bethesda were the sort to make decisions like this, they'd have been out of business for years already.

Besides, unreliable sources. It's just a silly rumour.

There is no logical way that would ever happen. Even if Microsoft paid Bethesda millions or billions just to get the one game to be an exclusive, they still wouldn't do it. It'd be suicide for the company.
I doubt it would be suicide, but no, they wouldn't. Bethesda can, and most possibly will, agree to release the DLCs first on XBone, but still, that's not enought for me.

I don't imagine Bethesda would be that dumb, would they?
Surely they stand to make much more money from a multi-platform game than an exclusive?
If it was exclusive to Microsoft why wouldn't they release it on PC?

Timed exclusive maybe. Exclusive? Nope, don't buy that.
That's my thinking if there were ever anything to this (unlikely since there'd be no real motivation to go exclusive to Microsoft). Microsoft has always been good at buying timed exclusives but overall exclusives eludes them.

Sounds like bullshit, most of their sales are *not* on consoles, lol

CAPTCHA: yes, I am indeed very jelly.

If this likely blatantly false rumor had any credence, it would be console exclusivity. The thought of a Fallout that's not available on a pc is basically a sin.

Rumours. That's all there is to it. In all seriousness, Bethesda isn't stupid enough to shoot itself in the foot.

They also have a much stronger relationship with Steam than they'd ever have with Microsoft.

Better not be, cause then I'll miss playing a Fallout game for the first time in my life, and that would be sad.

They can have it.

Seriously, Bethesda has yet to show it knows how to make a fun game. I don't care how big your world is unless the core gameplay is fun.

I call bullshit on both Fallout and the new TES being Xbone exclusives.

The Xbone will probably sell not nearly as good as they are predicting. Furthermore To just cut out 2/3 of your market (PS4 / PC, and especially the PC with all the modding) Is just plain pants-on-head retarded. Any CEO / CFO / marketing manager or anyone who has any interest in the making / distribution of the game, and has more than half a brain, should be able to see how stupid that idea is.

Ah, so you haven't enjoyed the Elder Scrolls or Fallout series? You're quite clearly in the minority as far as sales are concerned so I'm interested to hear what kinds of games you do enjoy. Do you dislike non-linear games where you can go anywhere and do anything without necessarily following the main storyline? Are you against first person game?

I wouldn't be surprised. Nintendo snagged Bayonetta Exclusivity, and Sonic limited Exclusivity. There's also rumor floating around they snagged one more Mutliplat Series to become Exclusive, one that's even more "WTF?!?!"-ing then Bayonetta. Microsoft can easily buy the Fallout Franchise and make it XBone Exclusive. Whether or not this is a good thing for Fallout, though, is anyone's guess.

People are stupid THE ARTICLE ARE USING NEW VEGAS SCREENSHOTS. Its not real.
Not sure why you feel the need to keep pointing this out, seeing as how irrelevant it is to whatever truth may be in the story. I have to assume that no screenshots exist of Fallout 4, which means whoever set up the piece had to use screenies from an older Fallout game. That kind of thing is SOP for journalists.

The article never explicitly states that the screenshots are from Fallout 4, by the way.
