Fallout: Vermont (My home town is too small for many people to stay there)

Given that there's not much worth nuking here, we'd probably just end up with a bunch of irradiated forests. If science worked like it does in the fallout universe, it'd be pretty interesting to see all the mutated wildlife. Past that, I'm just gonna shoot mutants from a treestand.

GTA, Ontario. Stands for "Greater Toronto Area"
And no probably not.

Though if you ask me I think an arctic place would be cool, like Whitehorse or Anchorage.
Damn, ninja'd...

I am curious as much because everytime Canada is mentioned in the Fallout Series, it is always as being a truly horrific, lawless place.

The Pitt was scared of 'Ronto. In the caves in listed on the computers was the hard-as-nails survivor guy talking about what a scary place Canada was. I am curious what they would do with it I suppose..

Philadelphia Pennsylvania. I would love to have a game set here. And with Fallout specifically, there's a lot of interesting history they could work into it.
This. I would love to see the city I've lived outside of all my life get the post-apocalypse treatment... Just realized, taken out of context that last statement sounds terrible.
I think you just got added to a list somewhere. When the men in the black suits with the black SUV want a quick chat, don't struggle.

OT: In line with Detroit jokes, here are a few other present day Fallouts:
-Manchester
-Hull
-Glasgow (I think even the wasteland warrior would think punching a burning man to the ground is a bit off)
-Liverpool
-Devon
-Essex
-Hull

Fallout: Montreal. Just imagine a cold nuclear wasteland.
You mean January?
Could be worse: Fallout: Thunder Bay
Obviously never been to Montreal during January or February (February is worse because its cold AND grey.) No but it could be worse...Fallout: Edmonton.

Edit: And if they make a Canadian Fallout there must be 50 foot high moose.

Well since Fallout: Seattle was already suggested (damn ninjas), I'm going to go with Fallout: New Orleans. Get a city to crawl around in, swamps nearby, and a whole lot of wildlife to mutate.

Fallout Orlando.
Orlando, Florida. If they could actually get all the proper licensing I do not doubt that they would make the game.
Obviously the main attraction of the game would be wandering through the wastes of Disney, Universal, Sea World, Wet & Wild, etc. Which would be pretty awesome, especially with all the "secret stuff" they could leave for you to find (Walt Disney's frozen brain!).
But we also have many malls, all of downtown, the Lockheed Martin facility and all the wonderful secrets it could hold.
And fifty bajillion dead palm trees and irradiated beach monsters.

So yeah, I think it could work.

Worse yet: Fallout: Churchill (Manitoba)

Imagine Yao Guai... now imagine them as polar bears.. and bigger... and EVERYWHERE...

I think that a fallout in Denver or Nashville could be fun, we've never had a fallout in the mountains before, and isn't that where all the survivors are supposed to be anyway?

I like how you can miss off the word Fallout from that sentence and it's still perfectly true.

I've always thought that my home town of Vancouver BC, or rather the greater area around it, would make for interesting game world, if only because of the variety of settings in close proximity. You have mountains not far to the north, farmland not far to the east, industrial parks here and there, and at the center the metropolitan but not-too-large type of city that you tend to see in games a lot. Hell, if liberties were taken with the travel time, you could throw the Okanagan desert in with that, rounding out the game location archetypes.

As for Fallout specifically... I don't know much Fallout lore, but I've hear that Canada got pretty messed up by the war, though given it's location Vancouver may have been partially preserved by the Chinese as a Beach-head for their infantry. I guess a Chinese faction could be interesting.

Fallout: Colorado Springs

Already part of the universe. Springs got direct-nuked and the vault there (vault 0) was the the ending stage of Tactics.

So...Denver is close. that would be interesting. Its mentioned a lot but never been a huge part of the universe.

But the game is more centered about 50s retro-futuristic american culture, but the idea of a snowy mountainous terrain is good. Maybe the ski towns of Colorado?
EDIT: I meant to reply to the guy who said to do the canadian thing.

I don't really care where it is set, but I would like the next one to take place before the war. It would be really cool to see what society looked like before the bombs dropped. And I want to drive one of those nuclear cars.

Fallout: Saint Louis. I'm a native of Saint Louis, so I'd love to see it.
Just go across the water to East St Louis. It's already happened.

Seriously though, I'm on board with the St Louis and Shanghai ideas. I might even buy them on release day.

Fallout: Moscow (If Metro 2033 didnt already have this cornered)

Maybe they can add some DLC where you have to bring Lenin's corpse back to life and reprogram it to destroy communism. It's pretty much like Terminator 2.

I remember having a discussion about a Fallout: Florida, what with the possibilities of mutant gators, mutant old pople and a virtual Disneyworld.
