heh I like the idea, but I've never liked the companions.

They almost always have a pathetic AI, running in front of bullets is NOT a good strategy!

Exactly my feelings, so I never bothered with companions either.

I didn't like the idea of an AI saying the same 5 phases over & over again either. Dragon Age: Origins had great support characters, getting into conversations/arguments with each other or commenting on the local surroundings/events. If the companions in FO:NV have a vast vocabulary on par with Dragon Age then I'll be interested.

Plus the name LONE Wanderer to me, hinted of being alone.

fallout 3 has nothing on new vegas.

Woah, we don't know that yet. For all we know, however unlikely it is, Obsidian have fucked everything up and are just making it sound super fucking awesome.

Aw hell yes, that sounds so much more fun than the relatively bland companions of Fallout 3.

I might actually get this game if they beef up the rest of it just as well. Not that Fallout 3 was bad, it was great, just not really what I expected.

Yea, he might not be as good as the dog but I'm thinking this ED-E is the messed up looking eyebot from the trailer.
