Taking a stab at NV I just about 15min's into the game play on ps3 and already I get a glitch that completely froze the game to a hard reset! Awesome! What's your first glitch time?
I wonder if all of this grief is aimed at the PS3 version...and the PC version. I've seen some clipping but no crashes or, freezing and, I'm playing on the 360.Pirate Kitty said:Lotsa 'Fallout: New Vegas has such and such bug' threads.
Nice work Obsidian!
Oh it'll hit ya, just when you least expect it. They're sneaky glitch ninjas, they just pounce at different times on each system. I knew fallout 3 was a bug filled hell hole but wtf how do you make a game so epic yet so fcked up at the same time.Shoggoth2588 said:I wonder if all of this grief is aimed at the PS3 version...and the PC version. lol actually I'm playing on a brand new console, it was in fact the first game I tried on it just for a sec to make a char and shoot a random person outside before I go back to red dead. I just found it funny that the game froze b4 I could even put my first slug in an unsuspecting skull. I expected it to have bugs but geez don't cock slap me with'em b4 I know what's going on.Sober Thal said:Maybe it's Karma? Maybe you have an old, misused console? Maybe you're playing it wrong? (I don't even know what that means)
PC glitches I understand, but why can some people have no problem on a console, when others have so many problems?
Could it be the disk itself perhaps? Maybe try to return for another copy of it.
I am going to jinx myself by declaring no Bethesda game has ever froze (360 user) on me. So far, that is still true... Oblivion, and FO3 anyway.
12 hours into new vegas so far.
Fallout (yes the original was buggy)twistedheat15 said:Oh it'll hit ya, just when you least expect it. They're sneaky glitch ninjas, they just pounce at different times on each system. I can see how a Black Isle game has some relevance to Obsidian, seeing as how there are many overlaps in staff. But the Troika Games? What do they have to do with Obsidian?octafish said:Fallout (yes the original was buggy)
Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines
Epic games that are buggy as hell, it's a tradition.
All Fallout games have been riddled with bugs. Fallout 1 and 2 had some crazy gamebreakers if you encountered them. Tactics got pushed onto the shelves more bug collection than game. Fallout 3... well, we all know that story.octafish said:Fallout (yes the original was buggy)
Oh, I meant it a general observation, that some of the most epic games can still be buggy as hell but we love them anyway. It's certainly been a tradition in my gaming experience.Gethsemani said:I can see how a Black Isle game has some relevance to Obsidian, seeing as how there are many overlaps in staff. Most of these complaints are coming from consoles. New Vegas is an equal opportunity bug fest (I'll still be buying the GOTY edition).NotSoNimble said:Sheesh, and people wonder why they say computer gaming is dying (they aren't tho, I know)... after reading all these 'helpful' suggestions, I see why people are buying consoles.
So much effort just to play a game sucks.
