The article is about FFXIII, XIII-2 and Lightning's Return being bundled together. No one wants a 3 game bundle containing 2 games they (likely) already own.

Definitely won't be interested in a trilogy pack, seeing as how I couldn't make it past the first disc of XIII due to losing interest. I didn't even know they were making the third game.

I'd be more interested in playing the other games in the series that trying more this installment.

Well, FFVersus13 was announced back in 2006, it's been 7 years, people are tired of waiting, a lot of people want them to finish Versus 13 because they also want KH3, arguably more anticipated than Lightning Returns.

Square got too ambitious with Versus... Isn't it the longest dev time for a FF game? I remember FF12 taking like 4 years to make.

I don't get what people see in Versus though (from what I saw in the E3 2011 trailer). I'm not trying to be an ass but what is all the fuss about? Apart from the incredibly good graphics of course.

Also, I noticed that 13-3 has a similar combat system... Hmm.

i still haven't even played past the opening battle in 13-2, though i have watched someone else play it and its much better than 13 was.

Another XIII game that isn't Versus? Fucking hell Square, I don't even care that much about FF, I just want to see a damn end to the XIII world so I can see the final KH of the Xehanort saga. Seriously, we won't see head nor tail of it until Versus is done(thanks to the director) and you have yet to put it out after 7 years. I hope to God that there was at least some form of pre-production going on for KH3 after all this time, because it sure as hell doesn't look like they are doing much with Versus.

2. There are enough of these mythical Final Fantasy XIII fans that a "desire" or "demand" for a product by them is some how greater than the Final Fantasy VII or Chrono Series fans?

Sorry about this tangent, but you know why the expectation of KH3 causes people to whine? Because it genuinely confuses us consumers who are like 'we want the product! give it to us pleeeeeease!' and then they don't. Imagine if the Avengers, which was excellent and made a lot of money, had the expectation of a sequel but the company never got their ass going to make it. All the fans would be screaming at them, 'Why aren't you making it? I will pay you to make this sequel!' I think this applies to any desired remake or sequel.

It looks great, the combat was only in it's development stages and can look much better. Many people don't like the 13 trilogy and want to see how Versus13 holds up, people are willing to try it.

Still wish they kept the monster taming, I loved that about 13-2.

It felt so much like a built in Pokemon game to me... and I loved it Even though Cait Sith is the worst healer in the game I still used her till the very end just because she was my "starter".

Somehow I'm much more excited for FF15 than any other game SE has revealed... wanna see something radically different than what they currently have. I'm also a tad bitter because I don't have a PS3 so I can't even get Versus when it eventually releases.

I can't think of anything that there'd be less demand for. You can get FF13 and F13-2 for about $15 each or less brand new. Hell you can get the CE of 13-2 for $30.

Know what else there's fan demand for? Remakes of 6 and 7, DS/3DS/Vita ports/remakes of 1, 2, 5, and 6, Type-0 getting localized, Versus 13 getting released, Bravely Default getting localized, A new Star Ocean game, TWEWY 2, a Xenogears port/remake/finished version/sequel, another Chrono Something game, a real Parasite Eve game, Dragon Quest 7's 3DS port making ti state side, a new FF Tactics game, even that HD port of FFX you've been teasing for 18 months. I can pretty confidently say any single item on that list is more desired than a trilogy pack of the worst two entries in the series.

Square, you wanna talk about fan demand, actually DO SOMETHING that fans want. Quit trying convince us that we want more FF13, we don't. Lightning is not as cool or hot as you think she is, Toriyama and Nomura, and as soon as the 13 "saga" ends everyone is going to forget she exists. Just make your Lightning cuddle pillow and be done with it, it's plainly obvious that the only reason one of the dullest characters in FF history is still getting the spotlight is cause Toriyama and Nomura want to give the old Eiffel Tower to Lightning.

Wasn't Birth By Sleep technically KH3? I mean, it was the one that was teased in the secret ending of KH2. Plus, haven't there been enough KH games after KH2? Let's see...there have been like 4 games since. I think it's just that people want another KH game on a console instead of the handhelds. That being said, if the games are as good as Birth By Sleep was, I don't care what gaming device they come out on (exception being iOS)...

OT: I didn't want XIII-2 at all...XIII-3 even less than that...why would I want a trilogy pack?
