Thats a dumb subtitle.

I can already imagine Kane sparkling.
You do realize thatthe original plan was to name the series in order:
Tiberian Dawn
Tiberian Sun
Tiberian Twilight
Before EA decided that the series should also be on the xbox and adjectives were too complicated for them and renamed the third installment Tiberium Wars?

Would've gone with Tiberium Dusk personally (Dawn->Sun->Wars->Dusk), but I suppose 'Twilight' is okay. The thing is, Dawn is also a moment of twilight. Twilight is "soft, diffused light from the sky when the sun is below the horizon, either from daybreak to sunrise or, more commonly, from sunset to nightfall," and since we already have a Tiberium Dawn which started the series, concluding it with Tiberium Dusk seems like a logical step for me.

But hey, what do I know? Unlike EA I'm not rolling around in mountains of money, so I guess they're doing something right which I'm not.
You could interpret "Twilight" as the last moment of light before darkness and thus representative of humanity's last hopes as the planet continues to fall to Tiberium's parasitic influence.

And again, this is really Westwood's naming convention brought back by fan response.

RA 3 was absolutely terrible, C&C3 got veeeery repetitive, but for those first 2 hours or so, it seemed ok.
I didn't like it at all. None of the classic CnC amusement. Plus, it's probably the most imbalanced CnC since CnC: Generals: Zero Hour.

The Scrin are ridiculously overpowered.

As long as the game is nothing like C+C 3 then I look forward to hearing more about it.

and the mention of the word "twilight" should send all the Twilight fanboys and fangirls into a tizzy. Maybe that's why EA was okay with this decision. They're hoping that Twilight addicts will see this game in a store and think "OMG A TWILIGHT GAME EDWARD CULLEN <3!!" and just buy it without even looking at what it really is.
*laughs* I had to admit that I was wondering if the word *sparkles* would be in there.

Seeing Edward mindcrushed by Yuri would make my day though.
I think an Orbital Laser Strike (Ion Cannon, Anyone?) qould be much more spectacular.

That's pretty cool I must admit, however I didn't know people actually played the Tiberian series, I personally thought C&C Tiberian sun was ass.

HAhahah sophisticated? I am sorry but a bunch of basement dwellers with a love for terrible FMV videos where the only redeeming feature is a scantily clad woman is not sophisticed

Anyone else care to agree that this game will inevitably suck?

Because I gave up on the C&C franchise long ago.

why the dislike of C&C 3 and Red alert 3? At least EA are trying to keep the RTS market going, what with esemble studios wasting their last nickle on halo wars and star craft 2 being delayed everytime someone sneezes in case they slipped on a pixal.

The name fits as it is the last one. But I fear they'll screw this one up though. Multi mixing of platforms isn't EA's strongest point, and RPG elements with levels sounds slightly concerning. But as it's been done before (rise of legends) It could work...

So the best thing their "sophisticated fans" could come up with was Tiberian Twilight? Really? So there's Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn (C&C 1), Tiberian Sun and now Tiberian Twilight. I'm impressed with this level of sophistication.

The movie Twilight has officially ruined the word "twilight". It was such a cool word, now it's associated with that movie.

Actually F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby ruined twilight for me. But then, I was actually forced to read (and analyse) that, whereas I can just...not read Twilight. Ever.
