These tech savey fans need to stop announcing things before they're complete so the companies that own the rights don't shut them down.

Sweet, Star Fox was what convinced me to buy a Super NES AND a SEGA Genesis.

If Nintendo is going to have a big hissy fit about it, they should just rename it Staar Fawkes or something, (I know, lame idea) but no matter what, the bottom feeding lawyers will find some way to shut it down or steal it.

Shakespeare was right, kill all the lawyers.

Unfortunatly, there is actually a zero percent chance that nintendo could try and make this sell, since its based on the Freespace engine. So, there is literaly no way they can make money off this, which unfortunatly equals...

yeah.

Why aren't they making something original from their talent instead of stealing someone else's IP. You can ***** all you want that Nintendo is going to pull a dick move but damn it's their IP and they have the right to do what they want with it. Why couldn't these guys come up with their own universe and story ?

This has been in development since 2006 or so. I'm surprised we are getting a new trailer now. Hopefully this means the game is almost done.

Worst case scenario: Nintendo hires these guys and makes them do all their work from scratch, then eventually the project stops because Nintendo doesn't like other engines or the computer.

Oh my god! that is awesome, i really wish Nintendo would go back and at least remake StarFox 64, that game was the best.
indeed I did enjoy the old starfox games the new ones changed too much, I used to spend hours on my N64 playing this game

Maybe this will make Nintendo stop screwing with the series and bring it back to basics (no zelda platformer action, no running around on foot crap) and release a sequel. Personally, I'd like to see a Wii Starfox with it's own controller (like the mariokart wheel) that features two sticks with triggers that you can insert the wiimote in and play.
