Where's the poll? Is my computer lagging? But anyway, VII is my favorite. Had an awesome story.

Final Fantasy X is my favourite so far.
But who knows how good Final Fantasy XIII will be? It might be the best one ever.

Six or Twelve.

Period.

Seven needs a graphic update to PSone standards and a retranslation to PSone standards before it could be a candidate for best. Games that don't stand the test of time aren't the best-in-show compared to those that do.

If they'd have used IX's graphics on VII then it would've made it the best ever...
But I would have to say FFVII because it just had such a great storyline.
Forget the graphics, yeah... they were bad, but who cares about the graphics when you've got an awesome game that draws you in and is fun to keep playing?

if Hironobu Sakaguchi and Nobuo Uematsu aren't involved, then it's just not Final Fantasy.
Uematsu is involved in FF13.

As for my favourite - It'd have to be FF4.

my vote sticks with FF VI immense story lotta characters with their own special stuff to choose from for parties... several things in it involved controlling multiple parties which is always fun... i mean sure graphics are dated but still I loved it when i first played it as FF III for the snes... and still find it a fun game to play periodically...if they remade that one with sweet graphics or even at least marginally shiny graphics it would rule.

Composing, or just as a supervisory role? Admittedly, he only had a supervisory role in Chrono Trigger, so perhaps even if that's the case the game will be a musical masterpiece.

VII and VIII were my favourites purely because they had interesting characters... cloud was a schizo and rinoa was off her nut. now all rpg game characters copy the androgenous teenage spiky haired looks of those games but adopt a sulky emo personality... square enix need to try create some origional characters instead of repeating the same old looks, personality and character development.

Dammit, got my facts wrong. He's composing the theme for 13, its 14 he'll be more heavily involved in. That and a secret Mistwalker project no doubt.

V or VII can't decide, because both were pretty good. VII used 3D, that was a a big leap in the series, and it had a good story.
V had the job system and I think that this kind of system works way better than dictated skills.

The first. The title from then on became extremely confusing and misleading.

On Topic: FFX. I just got into that one more than the others.

Of the FF games I've played, so far 2 and 6 are my favorites. I loved the battle system in 2, and it was pretty epic that you go down into hell (and heaven in the GBA release). Though it was a pretty difficult game for some so it tended to fly under the radar.

In the case of 6, I loved it's cast of characters and overall storyline. The course of the story telling was great, had wonderful character interactions in the story itself, plus ways to uncover more about some of the characters later on (ie: shadows dreams) I have yet to run into a cast of FF characters that were as rich and diverse as the characters in FF 6.

However, I have yet to play FF 3, 4, 5, and 9, so it's possible my opinions could change then.
