The LesBaer Commander. It's a M1911 style pistol that is hand built and fires .45 ACP rounds. My dad has 1 and the other models like the Stinger with a shorter barrel. The Commander is my personal favorite. I've fired it before, it's a beautiful gun. I also like the Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan. Shoots .454 Casul(spelled it wrong) and has a 3 inch barrel. Yeah. Also can shoot .45 Long Colt. I've fired it with .45, I'm not brave enough to shoot the .454 (plus it might break my wrist).Might edit and post a pic if my internet speeds up enough.

Any pistol type weapon, whether it be a old or new.

I've always liked them because of how they're not only powerful; they're also deadly, all rapped up in to a tiny weapon.

I also like the style sleek style of pistols, they generally just look cool.

The .454 is like getting into a car accident. Repeatedly. On Purpose. My friend's Super Redhawk (not Alaskan, it's got the 7.5" barrel) ended up making my shoulder hurt after the better part of 2 boxes (There were several of us, one of us wouldn't shoot it, my ex and I finished off the rest of the ammo we brought lol). It's... an experience.

Does your dad's have the original grips or aftermarket?

VSS Vintorez. It's about as loud as a typewriter, sends 9mm rounds crashing through body armor at 400m and fits into Strelok's suitcase.

A Mauser c96 for me.

15 or 20 rounds, (can't remember which) and it can turn full auto.

oh god, don't make me choose!
i'd love to own an enfield or an M1 Garand but also a M1911 or a H&K UCP.
im probably going to go with the UMP as my favourite gun though just because they're cool, even the name translates to Ultimate Machine Pistol.

As long as we're talking about weapons from video games, I'm not going for anything less advanced than a Laser Rifle, though I'm torn between that and the Gauss Rifle. I guess I just have a thing for lightweight, super high-speed accuracy.

In real life I have a soft spot for Walther's G22. So far, it's the only bullpup rifle design for 22LR (admittedly, for good reasons) and regardless of its actual usefulness, it feeds my fantasies about modern urban guerrilla actions ala Red Dawn or the Vampire Earth series. Plus it looks just different and interesting enough to be cool without being too sci-fi (like the Beretta U22 Neos).

I should also note that in the Sci-Fi/Noir short story I'm currently writing, my main character usually carries a sub-compact "Roscoe Arms" h-laser pistol. It's really more of a mazer, but by having them designate it a "heat laser," I get them to call it a "heater" (remember, I'm writing in Noir here). It's tiny, and it's only got a 5-shot magazine, but it's really only for covert work past security checkpoints, where it's likely to be more powerful than anything anyone else has. I'm sure that on his ship he's got something more like a shotgun, and under his pillow is something more like a Desert Eagle.

The Taurus Judge. It fires .410 shotgun shells and .45 pistol rounds.

Nice gun, but the whole shotgun shell thing seems a bit irrelevant if you read this [http://www.theboxotruth.com/docs/bot41.htm]. Unless you need to use birdshot for shooting vermin without overpenetration, the capacity to use .410 rounds isn't as useful as the .45 rounds it otherwise uses.
Well, the main use I would have for it would actually be shooting snakes and squirrels, interestingly enough. Though it's easy enough to kill snakes with a rock, a gun is just overkill.

probably the steyr AUG, that and the old revolvers.
AUG has been my favorite since the 64, always will be.

Beyond that pistols have always held my interest, especially the DEagle. I just think they're the perfect weapons, good at short, medium, and a decently long range. Of course this is all game experience, I've never fired a gun in my life (But I want to...Seems like something everyone should experience once).

The aftermarket I believe. I'm not sure how you managed two boxes. Watching my dad shoot it in .454, even me shooting it in .45, is just insane. With earplugs and muffs together it's still loud.

I hate the small caliber M4 and M16, but I liked the .50 "Beowulf" conversion. Unlike the .22 caliber that it normally fires, it can be converted to launch .50 cal rounds. Not near as long of a range, but enough punch to drop someone without having to be an actual kill (the .22 has always had problems against determined foes, it is very lacking in knockdown power).

I love the AA-12. A full-auto shotgun with very minimal recoil and can be fired in semi-auto without a toggle switch. Pull for 1 shot, hold to go full auto after a shot delay. Plus it can fire any 12 gauge round, including newly developed grenade rounds.

But my favorite firearm of all-time were developed in WWII. The weapon that won WWII, the semi-auto M1 Garand. The M1 is fast firing, precise at long ranges, and have plenty of knockdown power. That plus a quick reload time means you can put some lead downrange in a hurry if you need to, but the gun is more suited to picking your targets off instead of spray and pray.
Special mention to the sturmgewehr 1944 (STG44).The first assault rifle could have turned the tide back to the Nazi's favor if Hitler would have approved the project when it was first brought to him. Developed behind his back and deployed is limited amounts to the Eastern front, it had great success in combat. Mikhail Kalashnikov used the STG44 as the base when he developed the Automat Kalashnikov 1947 (AK47).
doesn't the m4 and m16 fire the 5.56x45mm?? that's why we have the SCAR-H fire full sized 7.62x51mm and it'll be just as effective as the beowulf
