People keep telling me that, but how the crap do you do it?Skizle said:second, it aso works on PC's which is a nice featureOptimus Prime said:360 controller. It just....works!
Because we like Dpads that are accurate? Of course it's hard to press the Dpad with the right thumb since the Dpad is on the left hand side of the controller! The idea is to use your left hand for the Dpad. The only real way to fix this is to put the dpad on the under side of the controller so you can use your other fingers to manipulate it. (Of course the people making these controllers don't think that far ahead.) At any rate you will either have to give up being able to move and manipulate the Dpad at the same time or give up control of the camera to manipulate the Dpad if you want to try and manipulate it with your right hand.Squarewave said:out of all the ones ive used the 360 controller is the best, with the only thing wrong being the LB and RB buttons I find awkward to use, something about he way they are placed makes me want to hit the triggers instead
The GC controller isn't bad for anything that doesn't use the right stick, its just too small and poorly placed to use for shooters
The dualshock is horrible, with the only thing worse being the Wii classic controller. The location of the analog stick and dpad sucks, as if they want you to use the dpad over analog, outside of it just being strange to have my thumb down that low it makes it harder to use the dpad with the right hand in order to switch weapons and targets for games that use it as such. The rounded analog stick is like it's ment for your thumb to slip off. As for the dpad its just as bad, any game that makes heavy use of it blisters my thumb, I don't get how anyone can claim the 360 dpad sucks with the abomination of the dualshock dpad
The wii classic controller is the only thing worse, as it has all the problems of the dualshock pad without the grips, and it doesn't even work well for nostalgia as the rounded back makes it feel wrong
Bwahahahaha. I used those things for the longest times, and it totally screwed up my hands for a few years(probably would have been months had I stopped using it.) I hold my pencils funny now, although my hands aren't screwed up at all anymore. =PIzakflashman said:The 360 one I guess, the wired controller, cause it doesn't run out of batteries, and doesn't have a dead weight underneath it.
But I want to use this time to digress and say that the Gamecube controller was awesome. Back when it first came out it looked so different and space age. Now it looks dated. Really dated. When I first started playing on it, it gave my hands the worst cramps, and the D stick was slippery and did my thumbs in. But after it made my hands its ***** for a while it became the awesomest controller ever. It was one of those controllers that bent you to its will, but you came out the winner in the long run.
Extended use would probably have mutated my hands or something.
With the 360 controller having the dpad to the right of the stick makes it easier to move and change weapons at the same time, as in I'm never forced to stop moving just to change weapons. The dpad might be on the left side of the controller but its still in reach of the right thumb. With the dualshock, while you can reach over and hit the dpad with your right hand its not as natural. as far as accuracy goes the only style game ware dpads have any sort of advantage for moving is 2d fighters, and thats only do to the fact you end up using them more as buttons to do attacks rather then movement. for anything else the accuracy between the 360/dualshock dpads is the same.shadow skill said:Because we like Dpads that are accurate? Ironically it is actually easier to keep the thumb on the left stick and press at least down on the dpad with the PS3 controller since the Dpad is much closer to the stick.
Do you have the wired or the wireless pad?Crazzee said:People keep telling me that, but how the crap do you do it?Skizle said:second, it aso works on PC's which is a nice featureOptimus Prime said:360 controller. It just....works!
1. You're holding the controller wrong. I can almost palm a basketball and there is no way in hell I could reach the 360 dpad with my right thumb and still maintain control of the right stick, I doubt anyone could.Squarewave said:With the 360 controller having the dpad to the right of the stick makes it easier to move and change weapons at the same time, as in I'm never forced to stop moving just to change weapons. If you have the wired controller just plug it into the usb and set it up. If you have the wireless controller you just need an xbox 360 wireless gaming receiver ... http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Wireless-Gaming-Receiver-Windows-Pc/dp/B000HZFCT2 like the one on this siteCrazzee said:People keep telling me that, but how the crap do you do it?Skizle said:second, it aso works on PC's which is a nice featureOptimus Prime said:360 controller. Also, I would have to say...Well, I would say NES controller, but then I realized I was just saying that because of all the enjoyment the NES in general has brought me, the controller kind of sucks...
So, I say 3-way tie between Dualshock 2/360 controller/Arcade controllers
