EDIT: Forgot these. The Beam Katana in No More Heroes kicks a substantial amount of ass, as does the Dragon's Tooth "Non Eutectic Blade" from Deus Ex.

In a game, I'd have to say my favorite is a tanto or wakizashi, from a mod for Oblivion. They just look so cool. And own small children.

Yes but it has a tendency to drain the life one who wields it... Doesn't it? I need to go back and play them.

Neko-de, "Cat claw" a metal claw held in the right hand with a chain attached to it, on the other end of the chain is a mace, can be used in melee with claw and mace or as a grappling hook/ranged weapon by throwing either end, one for crush damage, the other for slash.

Or lightsaber/chainsword/any scifi sword
Or Barett 50cal sniper to the face from 5cm away
