Because I just love when people using a jellicent, snorlax, chancie, blissy or other special tank think they have my alakazam or espeon cornered and I just 1 shot them with physical damage!

Also because the original Abra card used it before it was in the games

Psyshock is okay, but it's really banking on surprise if you aren't carrying an actual special move. That's why I always dump a coverage move on alakazam to run both psychic and psyshock. Of course that's assuming you ever end up walled by a threat that running psychic over psyshock could have dispatched.

While all of Alakazam's moves have one type of pokemon immune to them (ghost, dark, normal) The ability to nail key threats with the kind of damage that makes the difference between an OHKO and 2HKO can be very satisfying. Of course I run a similar set with my Chandelure, which also gets great synergy with my Breloom to get that flash fire boost.

I run a super bulky Deoxys Defense to "stop" rapid spinners. I can set up all day so it isn't a bid deal if they blow hazards, I run rocky helmet so they take 1/6 damage for each rapid spin and I also run toxic and knockoff in order to stall. But foretress sets up his own hazards and can't be poisoned so I have to go to chandelure and get him out of there asap.

Mine has to be Sky Uppercut. Even the name sounds cool.

Enemy flying? Well shit, it even hits them.

It's accuracy is high enough to not worry about missing and the damage high enough you can bet you'll be taking nearly any Pokemon out in a single hit. Really, it's rather broken.

Appaently it's the typing that's holding it back. Tyranitar messes it up pretty good and it's like one of the most used pokemon, especially for a lead which is often deoxys d's place because of setting up hazards. Scizor does a number on it too. Also Shuckle does get stealth rock, it lost its edge mostly because of the new sleep mechanics so it's screwed if it's phazed.

Shadow Force because it is terrifyingly awesome. A dragon ghost from a distorted alternate dimension that can hide in the shadows and attack... yeah.

You could just use Nasty plot, it doesn't get rid of the charge after it's used and you can stack up to three of them.

Oh you're right... the only ones that can are the pikachu line, plusle and minun and thundurus. A bunch of crap and an uber. You could just run thunder on something that isn't electric type though.

I suppose, but it wouldn't be as cool :/

Also, what's the STAB on moves?

Because Thunder does 120, and charge doubles it, you have a raw power of 240. With a STAB boost it would be well over that

STAB is X 1.5

My favorite attack move is probably dream eater. So evil.
