So the obvious ones are taken; Legion, HK-47, Optimus Prime, etcetera, but I have one to top you all - the Mad Cat!

Another fave robot of mine is Liger from Zoids. it had some cool armor modes making for unique attacks!

Wow, I completely forgot about Zoids - I use to love that show. I even have a model of a Liger, though it's now in pieces everywhere. Very cool.

Damn straight! Shield Liger, best Liger! I'm really tempted to watch the Zoids series again, even though I know the writing is probably even worse than I remember. It's the only 'giant mech' anime I ever enjoyed. =D

Those bots would be Crow T Robot, Tom Servo, Gypsy, Cambot, and the Nanites. Those lovable appliances provided a lot of entertainment to me while I was growing up.

Man, only one person mentioned Clank thus far? This is unacceptable.

Clank is by far the best robot.

Other favourites include the Metal Gear Mark II, Doctor Nefarious and his butler Lawrence, and Kryten.

Well, Aigis and Labrys are already taken, so I'll go with Metis, from Persona 3: The Answer
Metis' appeared some time after Male Protagonist's death and right away she tried to just murder whole Persona 3 crew, with the exception of Aigis, who Metis considers her sister. She is very rude, arrogant, and hostile, but what I really like about her, is that beneath all her knowledge and cynicism lies a little kid who is terrified of being alone.

Although HK-47 is really, really hard to beat. I wish BioWare had produced a DLC quest for KOTOR called "HK's Murderous Meatbag Massacre". Like, Tiny Tina stuff, but with killer protocol droids. YES.
