-C&C Tiberium: The Brotherhood of Nod. Stealth, high powered lasers...And devestating chemical weaponry. What's not to love?
-Supreme Commander 1: Cybran Nation. Stealth,Heavy Microwave Laser (Monkeylord gun),and an amphibious destroyer. The single most mobile faction in the game.
-C&C Red Alert (BEFORE 3!): Soviets. Tesla weapons, the singular most effective tank, and a cheap and fast war machine. Zerg rush with heavy tanks. Whatchya gunna do?
-C&C Generals: China. Gatling tanks, nuke howitzers, and units that are better than everyone else's in swarms. We are legion.
-Halo Wars: UNSC;Anders. 20 Hawks,Super Cryo Bomb. I think I win.
-Starcraft: Terran. Mobile,durable;killer combo.

Most of those are the "Red" factions...Who cares! Fear my favourite aspects of my favourite factions!

Dune 2000: Ordos "nice tank army! Mine now.."
Emperor battle for dune: Harkonen. "Devestator reporting.."
As for mini factions.. hmmm sardukar or fremen, unstoppable infantry bullshittery? Or invisible infantry asshattery? You decide!

Though favorite unit of all time has to be CronoCrusaders from RE:2 god damn they were fun.

First

also, Soviets before Red Alert 3.

They had a class that only EA could ruin.
Ninja'd by the first post...

In Dawn Of War I always played as the Necrons, because ending the game with a giant flying pyramid of doom just never gets old.

In C&C, the Brotherhood of Nod. Kane was always what made the brotherhood what they were, but the obelisks of light were just awesome aswell.

With Dawn of War, my favourite race was the Guard. Playing them I just steamroll everything. Not one step backwards! There's just something about the determined advance of a huge wall of guardsmen being driven forwards by Commissars and heavy artillery that feels great to command and even greater when the enemy falters under a storm of lasgun fire.

I've tried the other races but nothing beats the Guard for me.

There is on only superior faction... and the faction is YURI
I take it that by 'superior' you mean 'overpowered'.
Mean the same thing almost :p
Hey look! I indefinitely shut down your entire power system with a single flying unit!

lololololol

Hey look! I mind controlled your buildings!

lololololol

Hey look! My gatling turrets basically render all your air units useless, as well as all V3 launching units! And they can slaughter infantry as well!

lololololol

So yeah... they were certainly the 'superior' faction.

Eldar in the DoW series because of various reasons including absolute superiority.

Cybrans in the SupCom series because you CANT STOP PROGRESS! All fanatics and tyrants will fall before their might!

The Brotherhood of Nod from the Command and Conquer games.

Flamethrowers, lasers, stealth, chemical weapons and an enigmatic magnificent bastard of a leader. What's not to like?

Protoss: The 'pro' team in Starcraft.

Isis: God powers? I don't think so...

Night Elves: Buildings Attack!!!

Teutons: Fully upgraded Paladins do 1 damage to this 120 health unit.

Chosen: 35 food Villagers lol.

Soviets: Mammoth Tanks much?

(Not RTS) Grit: I love indirect attacking units in Advance wars.
That's "Choson," mate. It'd be a shang if someone mixed up their RTS's because of a random misspelling. ;)

My favorite: Probably the Celts from Imperivm II. Why? Warrior Women. Like cheap tanks you can mass-produce on demand!

AoE2: Has to be the Chinese. Nothing more satisfying than sending a full group of Cho Ko Nu to rapid fire anything that moves and destroy buildings with arrows.

Red Alert 2: Soviets - nukes and radioactive slime. Enough said.

Warcraft 3 RoC: Orcs. You know it's a good faction when your units say "Dabu. Zug zug."

Dawn of War: I know they're pretty unpopular but the IG are my favourite. I suppose I do like the idea of massed infantry firepower.

Empire/Napoleon Total War: Prussia. Just a historical interest. And the flag is the dog's bollocks.

Haha! I love that people are still hating on the Yuri faction in Red Alert 2. Man, that mind control business was intense. I guess some wounds never heal.

Red Alert 2: Soviets, of course.
Command and Conquer: GDI. Gotta love the military-industrial complex!
Command and Conquer Generals: China.
Warcraft 3: Humans.
Starcraft: Terrans.
Emperor Battle for Dune: Harkonen.
Dawn of War 1 & 2: Imperial Guard.
Napolean Total War: Russia
Empire at War: The Empire
EndWar: The European Union.
Age of Mythology: Hades.
Battle for Middle Earth: Humans / Gondor.

God, I love RTS games.
