Aaron Barette, from Real Big Fish
Morton Harket, from A-Ha
Busdriver
Brendon Flowers, from the Killers

I tend to favor music I can sing along to, so clear vocalists are my fave, the wittier the better.

James Hetfield - Brilliant thrash growl.
Dave mustaine - Something about his voice I really like.
Rob Halford - Great range.
Chuck Schuldiner - Pioneer of the now common death growl.
Bruce Dickonson - Graet voice.
Lemmy Kilmester - Awesome growl, suits his style of rock.
Joey Belladonna - Great melodic vocal helped Anthrax break out from the pack.
That's about it for now, though i'll probably remember more later.

Serj Tankian of System of a Down
David Draiman of Disturbed

I know that's a wide range but they're my 3 favorite bands and my 3 favorite vocalists.

Jens Kidman of Meshuggah.

Christian Älvestam (formerly of Scar Symmetry, part of a few other bands now.)

Mikael Akerfeldt from Bloodbath (and Opeth too I believe)
Good choice OP. Gonna have to put up Mikael on there too.

Max Cavalera as someone already said. Also Joe Duplantier of Gojira, as someone also already mentioned. Seems as though this forum has great taste in music.

Thomas Giles Rogers Jr. of Between the Buried and Me.

Rob Halford (Judas Priest) has to be my #1 pick, at least for now. I've only been listening to Priest for eight months but an artist that leaves such a lasting impression on me should be a good sign. I've also taken a liking to Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam) and Bon Scott (AC/DC) recently in addition to others who I'll place in a proper list when I have the time and motivation to create one.

Your speaking my language with Lagwagon!
But, I gotta add Fat Mike from NOFX.
And you can't go wrong with Leonard Cohen...

Okay, here's my list!

Rob Halford (Judas Priest)
Ronnie Van Zant (Lynyrd Skynyrd)
Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam)
Bon Scott (AC/DC)
ZP Theart (DragonForce)
Chester Bennington & Mike Shinoda (Linkin Park)
James Hetfield (Metallica)
Ozzy Osbourne (Black Sabbath, solo)
David Draiman (Disturbed)
Rick Astley
Till Lindemann (Rammstein)

Some these are sure to raise a few eyebrows so I'll explain as effectively as I can. ZP Theart may be part of the one of the biggest comedy relief acts on the Internet but his ability to sing at such a high range and match the beat of the song is simply admirable.

James Hetfield has a delightfully maniacal, snarling bark. He sounds like he's having a good time when in full swing, which is scary considering the subject of thrash metal.

Chester and Mike...okay, I admit that's two vocalists but you can't have one without the other. I love their ability to seamlessly alternate parts and sing in unison. Also, it's pleasing to know that the rapping is left to the guy who isn't white.

Don't "OMFGLOL" at Rick Astley. He has an amazingly deep, soothing voice for a white guy and makes his otherwise cheesy-at-best viral hit something to behold.
