Assassin's creed throwing knives give me an odd feeling of accomplishment.

*thock* Oh, you've got a knife in your face. Oh, you just fell off a 3 story building. Oh, all of the townspeople are screaming because of your dead corpse :p

as for favorite way to be killed: Cucco's in Zelda.

- Doom 1: when you're enemies are next to a fuel tank; blow the tank up and you'll see a mass of red body parts all over the floor. SWEET!!

- Blood Rayne 2: when you're sucking you're foe's blood and then decide to split him in half.

Be killed: well being decapitaded by a psyco with a chainsaw on RE4.

We were playing with a group of friends and there was this point where after a huge fight one guy started running off, so we'd all go "throw a knife, throw a knife!"

Somehow throwing a dagger in someone who flees from combat is more satisfying than most things one can imagine.

Fav death was on unreal tournament 2003 on the Death Ball? (cant remember the mode name) you jump through the hoop with the ball but fall into the put of horizontal bars below. Falling down there was the first ragdoll death i'd experienced landing on the bars between the characters legs like 5 times was funny.

Fav method of killing is on a HL2 mod called Hidden:Source as the hidden using an xbox 1 to throw at people and kill them is funny, never managed to use the teddy bear to kill someone on that mod though :S

The messaging on the Fallout games for each part of the body, classic.

I once finished a game where every human I killed was nothing but crotch shots.

My favorite way to kill was probably in GOW2---ripping off someone's arm and beating them with the bloody stump. *sniff* My dad used to threaten me with that.

Favorite way to die? Lara getting eaten by the T-rex. Always gives me a fit of giggles. (Closely followed by seeing her hoisted up on a spear in TR2.)

Since I am currently Free-Running my way through Assassin's Creed, I can't really objectively think back on all the games I've played to decide in which way I liked killing my enemies the most. The Counter-Attack with the sword, in which he breaks his attackers arm first, makes me squeal (literally) with delight. Whatever he does afterwards to actually dispatch the foe completely eludes me due to my perception that after that crunch the act of killing him is more mercy then anything else so why would it matter to my religious blood lust?

The most entertaining way to be killed that I, myself, have come across would have to be getting trapped in a corner and murdered because my Foaming-at-the-mouth Compatriot, who also happens to be my little brother, has decided to run off ahead of me in an attempt to get all the keys/food/potions that may be there waiting for him in a rousing and sweaty-palmed game of Gauntlet Legends. Why would I enjoy this? Because now I am an only child and no judge in the world would convict me.

Is there not anyone here that have played "Heart Of Darkness"?

Well, basically, that game is a around ten years old 2-d platform-ish game about this boy that enters this somewhat strange alternate dimension in an attempt to save his dog that got kidnapped by some strange forces during a solar eclipse. Despite this perhaps sounding like a pretty childish game, it really got quite a few rather horrible deaths, despite there not being any blood in the game.

for example, there are times when I failed to jump out of a dead dinosaurs mouth in an attempt to reach a ledge, and got crushed in its jaws. you could see some pieces of cloth sticking out between it's teeth here and there along whit a broken leg hanging loosely down from the mouth pit.

Ive also seen him getting pulled into a hole in a wall by some sort of wall worm thing so that you just see his legs sticking out. You can then both hear and see him struggling for his life only to suddenly stop as you hear a scissor sort of sound.

While still talking about deaths in games, then do of course got the chainsaw death in resident evil 4.

among ways to kill, id say using that chainsaw blade in gears of war, anything that involves the gravity gun in half life 2, using the soul cube in doom 3 and of course:
ripping someone in half in God Of War. Nothing beats that.

Thats what I can think of right now.

OH... and that freeze and shatter thing from metroid prime.

My favorite kill or all time in a video game, whould have to be from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. After fleeing from the Lake Arrius Caverns (the Mythic Dawn Shrine that you visit in the Dagon Shrine quest)I began to hear footsteps behind me, and turned around to find that on of the members of the Mythic Dawn had followed me out. Using my magick upon him, I cast a flamball which not only killed him, but sent him over the side of the mountain. I stood there and watched as he slid down, in an errily surreal kind of way. But my satisfaction soon gave way to horror when I realized that I was actually taking delight in the death of another person.

Still, it's my favorite kill.

I can honestly say, my favorite in recent memory was Gears of War. Berserker. I knew it was gonna come through the wall, I guess I just figured I could time it differently, or I didn't really care. Either, I just tucked and ran. The timing was perfect, sucker came bowling through the concrete wall and just went through me like I was nothing. Sometimes death is annoying - other times death is just so spectacular that you just have to laugh at it.

I have to go with the hara-kiris in Mortal Kombat Deception. Killing a foe by stabbing him in the head with a sword is all well and good, but when you do it to yourself just to rob your opponent from a satisfying victory, well, thats just f'in nuts.

Assassin's creed. The counter move where you drop a guy to his knees, then just absolutely BURY your sword into his neck, and have to jerk the blade a few times to get it to come out.

Also, anytime you're in a high place sword fighting and you can just throw someone off the edge of the building/ cliff/ tower, whatever, that is awesome. Nothing beats using the grab counter where Altair grabs the opponent by the wrist, turns him around, and kicks him in the ass... right off the building.

As far as favorite death... I hate dying. Lol.

But if I had to pick a way to go out it, would be in Day of Defeat. Every so often you bust into a room to find one guy sniping or providing covering fire or whatever. He'll see you come in, and you'll both unload on each other. Usually, one of you will die, but every so often, you both go through a whole clip and get nothing. Then the pistols come out... still nothing. Then it's down to who can switch to a melee weapon first. If I had a Garand or K98, I would usually quick switch back and try to get the guy with the secondary melee attack. Sometimes he's just faster, and you go down. It sucks to die, but at least you went down in a fair fight with another skilled player. :)

A few years ago I was playing BF1942 at a LAN party, and it was at that stage of late night/early morning when everyone gets a little wired, or slap happy so we weren't playing very seriously anymore. A friend of mine who usually plays on the opposite team anytime we chose to fill a server with bots because he likes killing people who get upset when they die was actually on my team for once, but he thought it would be funny to keep team killing me. He did this maybe half a dozen times.

Finally I got pissed, and told him to cut it out. So he said we should meet by the large bomber on the runway, and bomb the hell out of everyone else. The idea of team killing my buddies at this point seemed amusing so I said okay, and went to wait by the rear of the bomber.

My buddy was flying a Spitifre at that point, and instead of landing it he obviously just bailed out once he was near the bomber because that's how you use fighter planes in BF1942. His Spitfire crashed right on top of me.

He swears to this day it was unintentional.

So that was my best video game death.

way too many to list, but the first that comes to mind at the moment would be chasing after grunts in halo and smashing their heads in! no ammo needed!

Shadow of Rome is the most gory, most over-the-top game I've ever played. It was good. You could kill the enemy in hundreds of different and inventive ways, from garroting him to dowsing him in oil and hitting him with a torch to cutting him clean in twain with one heavy swing of the halberd.

I hold a special place in my heart for the Havok physics engine and the way it's implemented in the Half-Life series. Particularly that delightful combination of Gravity Gun and Buzz Saw.

The deaths in American McGee's Alice weren't so much creative or gruesome as were her screams she emitted while dying. Those were pretty curdling if I do recall. -- Killing things with the deck of cards was incredibly fun though.

A sort-of silly one; getting eaten by the yeti in Ski Free. It used to terrify me when I was younger...

Sort-of a wicked one, it was always fun to set Sims in a doorless room with a fireplace and lots of furniture P:

Mmm all this Unreal talk... I remember playing the very first Unreal and always liking, as it was stated, the ASMD rifle. The 8-ball launcher was fun ((in a creepy as shit temple though)) but my favourite kill was beheading the Skarrj with the Razorjack. Good times.
