Clint Eastwood
Lee Van Cleef
Sam Neil
Vincent Price
Christopher Lee
Edward Norton
Viggo Mortinsen - One of the few actors these days who can carry the flame and it in actuality, a good actor.
Andre Braugher. While he hasn't been in a really good film since Glory (The Mist was okay), he was a standout on IMHO the greatest television drama ever, Homicide: Life on the Street.
Actors: Robert Downey Jr, Martin Sheen, Robert Duval, Johnny Depp, Health Ledger, Dicaprio, Penn, and Nicholson to name a few
Actress: (don't know as many of these) Meryl Streep, Marisa Tomei (for the wrestler), Ellen Page, Holly Hunter, and Blanchet
Will Smith, he can be an action star, or a dramatic actor (he was really good in Pursuit of Happyness). Nicolas Cage is really good from what I've seen (Knowing, Next, National Treasure 1+2). Johnny Depp is good (kinda creepy in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory).
Jim Carrey is really funny. That girl who played Peyton in The Gameplan was a good actress (The Rock was good in the movie too).
Alot of people probably won't agree with me, but my very favourite actor is Kevin James. He is the only reason Mall Cop was funny at all, he was great in Hitch, he stole the show from Sandler in Chuck and Larry, and he was hilarious in King of Queens. They couldn't have made that show as funny without him delivering his funny lines perfectly.
EDIT: I forgot Robert Downey Jr., Bruce Willis, and Bruce Campbell (one of the funniest guys ever).
