Horror is not a genre. Not really. They can all be considered fantasy. I dare you to argue with me.

The only movie that ever truly horrified me was Hellraiser 2.

I never saw any of the other Hellraiser movies.

Most 'horror' movies I find extremely funny. That scene in The Mangler where Robert Englund's character got folded in the machine made me roll on the floor.

28 Days Later - I like that it didn't go all Hollywood on us, wasn't all action non-stop, and had a few memorable actors.

I LOVED 28 days later. It's the only zombie movie I enjoyed. It's not like all the others.

Like many others, I enjoyed 28 Days Later quite a bit. I didn't care for (most of) the sequel, tho.

Dagon is one of my favorite movies, although it's really not that good.

Alien is gold, The Host is pretty good, the original Night of the Living Dead is awesome.. I liked the first Terminator movie, which is arguably horror-ish. Oh, and Predator. Creepshow is a good fun time. Rosemary's Baby.. Oni Baba.. Poltergeist.. Pumpkinhead.. Rawhead Rex.. The Exorcist.. The Omen.. and way too much more. Oh!.. and I loved the Rob Zombie movies that came out a while back.. uh, Devil's Rejects and the one before it. Haven't seen his Halloween remakes yet, tho. I freakin' love horror movies, whether it's gore or exploitation or psychological horror.. it's all good.

The Last Houe on the Left - both versions are good
Jack Ketchum's The Girl Next door - just plain disturbing
Hellraiser - Clive Barker at his finest
Inside - creepy French horror film
High Tension - awesome French horror
... of the Dead - George Romero's Zombie masterpiece series
Suspiria, Inferno, Mother of Tears - Dario Argento's master piece series

they are pretty awesome horror flicks and ones i've enjoyed a lot

Halloween - The original not the bastardized remake.

Return of the Living Dead - Just a plain fun movie.

Audition - Seriously, this movie creeped me out.

Death Proof - An awesome take on the slasher film, even though people say Planet Terror was better, those people are stupid. This one had more substance.
