At the moment, my favourite TV show that is on is Breaking Bad. Some others are House (Though seem to be only airing once a month nowadays) and Dexter. Right now I just downloaded The Boondocks, which is hilarious.

Post your favourite TV show, and then give a reason why.

Mine at the moment is The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon is just so funny.
I made the same exact forum three months ago! I hope this one has much better success than mine... :p

OT: My favorite shows are Futurama, MTV'S Loaded, Invader Zim, The Colbert Report, Family Guy, and the Simpsons.

I thought Scrubs before I saw the options, but my heart was torn when I also saw My Name is Earl.. Went for Scrubs, as J.D will always have a special place in my heart.
Also love Futurama, currently quite into Fringe. More options needed!

House, which wasn't on the list. Anything on Discovery Channel (Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs, Canada's Worst _____, How's It's Made, etc), Intervention, Hoarders... I like stuff like that. In fact, after one particularly stressful episode of Hoarders, I spent the wee hours of the morning cleaning my room. I'm talking 2am.

Mythbusters...

Because it's Mythbusters...

I have no logical explanation, if you've never heard of it watch it now, I'll wait...

I'm more into drama and action rather than those sitcoms listed here. My preferential show at the moment is Supernatural, it combines horror, action and the occaisional bit of comedy into a rough indie style that draws heavily on American folklore as its source material.

It's a reeeeeally hard choice between The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother (thursday nights rock!) I chose TBBT but tbh there's really nothing in it, they're both stupidly good
Oh and well done OP, Black Books is a legendary show

Meh, I don't watch that much TV (I used to, but then I got the Internet...) but my list is:

1.Simpsons
2.Scrubs (season 1-8)
2.Dexter
3.NCIS
3.Burn Notice
4.Bones
5.My name is Earl

And honorary mention to Kyle XY and Friends. Kyle because it stopped being fun afer a while and friends because they stopped making it like 3 years ago.

EDIT:

Right! I forgot all about Mythbusters! It's also on my list (now), between NCIS and Dexter : )
(thanks for reminding me!)

The poll seemes to have died after I voted "other". I'm sorry, I hope no-one here was friends with it. Blood feuds are so tiresome.

Anyway, from shows that are currently running, I would say Modern Family, Parks and Recreation and Chuck. Maybe with some documentaries thrown in (Life is really good).

Cancelled shows would be Seinfeld (live audience pissed me off, but t'was funny otherwise), Pushing Daisies, Malcolm in the Middle (extra points for a TMBG theme song), and Southland.

The Wire, unfortunately it's ruined me for nearly every other tv show, still Treme will be out soon but it's doubtful any channel outside the US will pick it up.

Of those, other than "other", I'm going to have to go with Black Books. That whole era of British comedy was my early teenage years; my childhood was stuff like Blackadder, after that Spaced and Black Books; since about 18, and coming to uni, I've dramatically reduced the amount of TV I watch.

Ok I guess you didn't put The Sopranos on that poll because it would just embaress all those other shows right?
