Maybe I'm missing something, but isn't this blatant search and seizure? It doesn't really specify the investigators would need a warrant. The intro seems to imply that a warrant isn't needed, and that there is no way to get a password without them telling you. So...isn't using a PS3 to break encryption blatantly illegal and unjustified?

Again, maybe a warrant is needed, but this is weirding me out.

To be fair the Arcade isn't a real game console.

But the 299 Elite is a good setup. I'm happy with both consoles but I tend to like the PS3 better. Just seems to fit my life better.

They must have a warrent to search, and at this point they have already seized it under suspicion(There excuse most likely comes from someone saying there is cp on it, or monitoring their internet traffic) and then they must crack the password because I believe the 5th admendment you're fully obligated not to give out information that might be against your defense.
