OK this is confusing me to no end. In the first FEAR Alma is like 8 or something right? Then in the second FEAR Alma is like 20. How does she age that fast in literally like an hour? The second FEAR happens right after the city is nuked to ashes. First FEAR Alma is 8 one hour later Alma is 20 someone please explain.

She can also walk on the ceiling and turn super soldiers into burger meat...I can't explain that either. But I think it's more impressive.

Ok, Alma is actually like a 100 something I believe, but see in the first one her only memories are of her being a child so she manifest herself as a child. At the end of the first one you release her and she then manifest herself as her body actually is. She was cyrogentically frozen for her power, yada, yada... Did you even remptely pay attention to the story?

She just changes her form at will. I think it shows that in the first one Alma was trapped and expressed herself in a younger form, while in 2 she's free to assume her true form.
Yep, you nailed it. By the way, is the second one worth getting?

Ehh.. Rent it. It held my interest for a bit, but it's still a worthwhile rent. Theres just not that much incentive to replay it though.

Not from what I hear.
Ah, I see, thank you for preserving my already dwindling bank account.

Alma was 8 when she died and was suspended in the vault. When she is released from the vault, she assumes her true form as a (15 I think) year old girl. She is dead after all... She can look however she wants I suppose.

In the first game, Alma was 20 (you see her fully aged at the end of the game, remember?) That little girl was just one of her astral projections.

In the second one she is having the main character's (from the first game) baby. 8 year olds do not have babies, however, 20 year olds do.

It's not bad, but it is pretty similar to the first. If you liked the first one then I would get it, but only if you can find it cheap.

Short answer: no. Long answer: no. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.87940#1334794]

Anyway, she was 8 when she was put in her coma in the Vault, so that's how she sees herself, and therefore how she manifests her spirit. At the end of FEAR and the entirety of FEAR 2, you're seeing her actual, physical body, which is 15.

Alma is ALWAYS 20 years old, she just makes herself an 8 year old girl to the Point man and others because that was the age she was when she was taken away, almost symbollic, so it's not that she aged incredibly fast, she just made others see her as a child, understand?

Little Girl Alma = Manifestation of her psychic imprint at the time when she was first put into the cryogenic coma, Emotionally Alma may only be this age.

Older Alma = Manifestation of her psychic imprint of her physical body at age 16 when she gave birth to the second son. She died a few years later when they pulled the plug on Project Origin when Fettel first synchronized with her.

Older Alma in the second game becomes two sub-manifestations: Creepy bony Alma - How her body actually looked when she physically died and Slim Alma - A manifestation she uses in attempts to coerce and seduce the character into having psychic sex with her (This happens at the end of FEAR 2 when you are strapped into the telesthetic amplifier.)

She's not 100 something. She's the pointman's mother and he can't be that old and if Harlan Wade is her father and he's alive until the end of FEAR 1, yeah that's nowhere's near 100.

I didn't pay too much attention to that aspect of the game. I focused on why they replaced the headshot-from-a-mile-away shotgun with 2 horrible shotguns...

Umm sorry but you're not seeing any actual physical body. Story deposition says she died six days after Harlan pulled the plug on her life support systems. so that isn't her actual body. It's her psychic imprint. It just so happens that her psychic imprint is so strong that she can still manifest herself years after her death.

She's around 16 or older in part 1. They stuck her in the vault at age of 8, though, which is why her "ghost" outside the vault looks the way she remembers herself. Play through it and you'll see her older version in part 1, near the end.

Wow. Thank you. Kind of scary how many people here must not have paid close attention to the story of the games. They, in detail, talk about how she was 8 when they sealed her away. They brought her out two times, the first at age 15 to give birth to the Pointman and the second time at 16 to give birth to Fettel. Then when Fettel was 10 there was a synchronicity event and after that they pulled the plug on her and she died. So, Alma has always been in her 20's pretty much.

Just because she's dead doesn't mean she can't reanimate her body. I mean, that seems to have been the entire point of FEAR 1: she was getting Fettel to open the Vault so she could get out with her body. I mean, why else would we see her as her 16 year old self? She sure as hell sees herself as the 8 year old, so why project as something else unless we're seeing her actual, physical presence? Also, how is a remote mental projection going to rape Beckett?

But is her manifestation from her age at death or from her age at giving birth because I believe she was only conscious until they sealed her into the vault and then for a short time while she was giving birth. So while she was physically in her 20's when she died, how can she manifest a state she doesn't recognize, unless her mind saw what she had become after she died.
