Back to the topic, just another reason why Government can't do anything right.

Hard to believe at one point in the 90's he was the most sort after new artist. Now he has the dubious honour of being considered both the worst comic artist and comic writer in history.xXxJessicaxXx said:Lol I can draw better than that... this guy gets paid for it? whut.
Now I have a sad.
I would hazard a guess that Toy Biz, who now stands to receive what I would imagine to be a substantial amount of back tax money (large enough to justify actually spending the money taking this to court in the first place) from the government, would not agree with you.Torrasque said:This is the most useless court case(s) I have ever heard about.
homo sapiens sapiens are humans. our ancersters are not technically "human". beside, home sapiens are the only ones that are alive anyway (as far as we know, though intelligence of some people make me doubt that).mad825 said:Human? as in not Homo sapiens? We are nothing but a mere sub-category within the human evolution.
But in the end, they are arguing about plastic lumps shaped differently from other plastic lumps. In the end, they are still plastic lumps.SilentHunter7 said:I would hazard a guess that Toy Biz, who now stands to receive what I would imagine to be a substantial amount of back tax money (large enough to justify actually spending the money taking this to court in the first place) from the government, would not agree with you.Torrasque said:This is the most useless court case(s) I have ever heard about.
Except that they are Plastic Lumps whose shape can mean the difference between paying $100 million to ship them in, or just $50 Million. That's not exactly a frivolous lawsuit. This is why the Court of International Trade exists; to handle disputes regarding the United States' international trade laws. If a company thinks that they're being unfairly taxed, the court gives them a chance to voice their opinion to the government. In this case, the government agreed, they were taxing them too much.Torrasque said:But in the end, they are arguing about plastic lumps shaped differently from other plastic lumps. Its like the guy who sued the people who sold him his RV when he got into an accident when going into the back to fix himself a sammich and left it on cruise control. Or the lady that sued McDonalds because she burnt her leg with hot coffee.
It is an exercise in silliness and stupidity that the world doesn't need.
Its kind of like how some people make such a big deal about killing children in video games. They are pixels that do not exist, so it doesn't matter.
