Kebabs, Capybaras and Cows

Some day Alex and Jeremy will manage to stay on topic, and that episode will be the exception that proves the rule.

That was so unexpected I literally forgot the funniest thing before that point.

Also, I could totally see frat boys doing that.

We can send hats!? Alright, where's Fayathon? His hat is amazing, and I think all of the Escapist deserves to see him rage when he realizes that Graham has it.

I'll see if I can get a pic of him with his hat, instead. Then he doesn't have to give it up. I might edit this later with the pic.

Man Gary seems like an awesome teacher, I wish I had him when I was in the 4rth grade. Also thanks for getting the Circle of Life and the image of someone tapping cows stuck in my brain, i'm sure it will be super fun trying to get that out of my head.

Just want to point out that Kebabs that the article was talking about probably aren't the on the stick variety (the shish kind), Kebab places in Europe usually sell a döner kebab which looks like:

This show just keeps getting better, which is something because the first one is still one of the funniest things ever. I will never know how they manage it...

Wait, it's the hats, isn't it?

Oh no, and if people send them more hats, the awesome of the show could grow into a funny singularity and drown us all in humor from which light can not even escape!

I was in the process of taking of sip, when the Paul-impersonation broke out.
Not the smartest thing I ever did in my life.

Though I´m still not QUITE sure on the exact reason as to why Jer is, indeed, Paul.
Could somebody elaborate ?

ugh, living in Texas has it's perks like great steak and mexican food. However, I do have to live with the stereotypes despite being a nerdy white guy from the suburbs D:

The Paul impressions were hilarious, I wonder what he thinks about that >.>

It's Feed Dump, it's hilarious, that largely goes without saying. It's fascinating to see these really funny personalities play off one another, which is what makes the LRRcast and (presumably) Desert Bus so fun.

The "Jer & Alex assess the playability of some shit" segment would, I imagine, be hilarious if I cared at all about Magic.
Also, NEW RULE: Whenever you transition into a new segment, the intro MAY NOT be longer than the actual Feed Dump intro.

Anyway, Graham, I hope you and Kathleen enjoyed England.

A reference to an older season finale video from their website (which itself is full of references to the season).

With "Gary the 4th grade teacher nextdoor" and the "cowstand" i think this episode will be forever burned into my memory along with other awesome things on the Escapist... like Gavin Dunne's "Normandy" and, pretty much the whole Doomsday Arcade series.

Be careful soliciting donations on the Escapist. They may end up demanding 75% of all donated hats.

As soon as I heard the phrase, "tap a cow" I thought of cow stands, and was prepared to boycott Feed Dump for the next 6 days if they didn't work that in somehow.

Apparently it's all Jer can ever think about, but I for one am getting a little tired of the Magic references.

For S&G, what if instead of 'is it playable' we ask the standard question of, 'how watchable would the JCVD movie set in this scenario be?' Jean-Claud Van Damme versus..."The Capybara in the Water Treatment Plant 2: The Desalinationing". My prediction would be 4 splits in boxers while suspended between chairs out of five.

Well, we're certainly not watching Feed Dump for its content and in-depth journalism, so keep the crazy coming.

Also, animations. We just loooove animations. Made by you. Around 5 pm on a Friday, when you want to go home and do less tedious things. Yep, we sure love that.

Alex Jer is now officially my favorite combo for Feed Dump. It was tentative after their first appearance together but now it is official. Note that I love Feed Dump to death every week but Jer Alex weeks leave me having painfully spasms of laughter instead of the normal fall-out-of-my-chair-awkwardly laughter.

Also, what is Graham's shirt of? It seems to have a scarf which amuses me.

I suppose it should be said that it was weird _to me_.

My threshold is a bit high but chugging cow blood hit it.

Also; will be at PAX playing casual Magic probably all day Saturday should you find yourself with enough time.

I have nothing constructive to say but I feel it would be a cardinal sin to not add my obligatory "I died of laughter" response.

"... That was the 12th time I died."

Definitely one of my favorites so far, not sure if it is in fact ahead of Lemon-incest and youthful queen virgin blood rituals.
Close race.

Just embrace it, Graham!

Just embrace it, Graham! It is useless to resist! Loved the Leaf Tenant Alex part at the start, also the cut to him after talking about doing weird stuff at home... Two vuvuzelas and an afro wig... That image will both stay with me till the grave, and keep me laughing my ass off for the day.
Need I say anything about the Paul impressions? Alex and Jer really committed to selling the shit out of that crap as Paul!

Also, my friend keeps bugging me about this. It's not hat related, sadly, but hear me out.

My friend Tom looks scarily like you, Graham Stark. Proof photos to follow as soon as I can wrangle him into a suitable Stark-like pose.

I loved the classic LRR references.
For those of you who haven't watched old LRR:
Jer brings up how he can't quit Phailhaüs, which was a news series by LRR very similar to this one, which was created because Morgan's "The Whatever Thing" wasn't being done frequently enough.
Also, Jer says "I'm Paul because I am, and you ain't, cuz you not!" which is a reference to an old sketch (2008) wherein Paul played a rapper singing "This is why I'm Paul."

The trees that maple syrup comes from. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maple] They're common in (some parts of) Canada.

EDIT: I'm asking here rather than in an email because I figure it might be useful to other people:
Would you guys mind giving me the measurements for around Graham's head so I can know what size to make the hats? I already have a bunch of ideas and I'd like to get started ASAP.
Thanks!

"That just game the hilarious mental image that you tap a cow the same way you tap a keg..."

Actually, they did that (George van Dyne et al.) in the 1980's. Although the cow in question was a bison. And the tap was through its bowels. And it was more of a hole than a tap. And they sampled its shit, instead of its blood. So it isn't really the same. But it IS interesting.

Anyway, I got some other words for news: MOOS, OOZE, NOOBS, and NOSE.

And for that matter, what about SEWN? It's got the same LETTERS as "news"....^_-

And a cow stand? How many frat boys in North America are gonna do THAT now? o_O

Some day Alex and Jeremy will manage to stay on topic, and that episode will be the exception that proves the rule.

Watch Video
In Africa they actualy do tap cow blood, they shoot an arrow trough the lower part of it's neck and litarally tap blood from it.

The cow itself actually survives being taped. I still wouldn't drink it though.
Here's a picture.

I seem to remember hearing something about people using camel's natural storage of water in the desert, but I can't remember if it was a real life thing or a joke.

It's not so much a reference as an interesting note, but the hat (wig) that Graham is wearing at the end and in the thumbnail is the Bob the Angry Flower wig from season 2 (I think...)

While Capybara Water Treatment Plant is a really good card, I don't think it is entirely broken.
The 7 mana cost restricts its use in standard a bit, but I can see it being run in a commander deck that runs those colors for sure.

EDIT: could end up banned or at least restricted though.
