I really don't consider DOA volleyball and such to be video games as much as they are mindless entertainment. I played it for giggles, I never took it seriously. I mean, check out the physics on their chest, if mine started acting that way, I'd be a little concerned.
It is a fact that sex sells. Unfortunately the sexuality that is portrayed doesn't apply to everyone. Not every guy is into large chests, or don't get off to a woman who leaves nothing to the imagination. Hell, some men aren't aren't into women at all. Same goes for us girls. Not all of us are into muscular super men. Muscles look nice, but if they aren't good relationship material, all they are is eye candy, and candy goes old and bad eventually. If the person isn't kind, caring, thoughtful, or doesn't share similar interests, have satisfactory hygiene, and a great sense of humor, I'm not gonna be interested all that long.
But we also gotta think about what works. The average woman and man aren't necessarily "fit". They aren't going to be able to jump across gorges, fight in the ring for several rounds, climb up cliff faces, be able to hold their own in a gun fight, yadda yadda yadda. BUT, I would like to see it done. The fact that these things would prove a great challenge for the average woman and man would make a game perhaps more challenging as well.
But what of the sex appeal? Heck, if the clothes they are wearing are flattering, they got a nice smile, eyes full of character, a nice hair-do, a relatable personality, perhaps the sex appeal wouldn't be completely gone? Maybe it shouldn't be "sex" that sells, perhaps it should be "charisma".
The same goes for TV. Hugh Laurie of HOUSE M.D. is no "Brad Pitt", but the fact that he has confidence and character, I find myself becoming the school girl I was not too long ago.
*AHEM* Anyway, that's my two cents. You don't have to agree with it, but you might wanna respect my right to say it.
