Onechanbara is a very over the top game that is supposed to be taken with a grain of salt.

You know, I've alwys been confused by the statement "sex sells". Sex doesn't sell, lust sells, and there's a huge difference between the two.

I read a review of that onechanbara game. I felt insulted to be among the target audience. I consider those games soft-porn instead of actual videogames. Claiming to enjoy those games for the gameplay/story etc is like claiming you read Playboy for the articles.

I don't really care. I mean, most of the time when games (or even on TV or in movies) make the female characters ugly, it's to give the "You don't have to be pretty to be cool! Everyone is beautiful!" bullshit that I find more annoying than unrealistically sexy ones. Why do you think that Tomb Raider has done so well? I mean, I'm not saying anything negative about Tomb Raider, and some people actually buy it for the... well, Tomb Raiding, but some of the purchases are because there are tits on the cover. You put a hot girl in a movie, it's going to get attention. That's why they put Jessica Alba in the Love Guru, because people would have never watched it otherwise.
