Yes, well despite the fact I only had one playthrough as femshep I still think that her performance was top notch. But I'm still completely enraged by Casey Hudson's move to remake the ending by himself.

Bioware isn't to blame here, its Casey.

Hear that BioWare? The star of your series says she is more than willing to come back and do more work. I find this good news, as I was afraid she would not be interested for some reason. I wonder if the others would be willing to come back...

Thank you Jennifer you've probably saved the internet a lot of conjecture and infighting.
Sufficed to say Im not going to be in any hurry to buy any dlc or indeed any dlc connected to the game because it would just feel pointless to me (since I was I of those people who thought the ending needed to be rewritten or at least re-structured ) but atleast this gives me a clear indication of which direction Bioware wants to take their game and I guess Im going to have to respect that.

Been one hell of a ride, shame it had to end this way :(

I'm happy. That means the ending isn't being changed and anything that might be add will probably just be an epilogue without Shepard that maybe wraps up what happened to everyone else.

my god, another person that just DOESN'T GET IT! it's NOT that we don't want to let go, it's NOT that we want an ending that will satisfy everyone. WE JUST want an ending that makes sense, that doesn't break the lore entirely, and that ACTUALLY gives a little closure.
...Right. Her point was that it's good that people actually care enough about the game that they feel that way, rather than shrugging it off as "meh, doesn't matter".

Escapist staff members, no matter how often I see that picture nor how many candles I put in at the shrine I have of Jennifer Hale, that picture is not going to become any less terrifying. Please stop posting it.

While this article is just a giant disappointing reveal about a new ending. I'm still happy we've got an answer. And a much better one than Bioware's been trying to dance around. This doesn't discount the possibility of a new ending, only shows that they haven't started yet. /desperately clinging to hope

They wouldn't need Hale or any of the other voice actors until they have a final script anyway, so if they are planning to rewrite the ending, they are still thinking of ways to make it work. I guess there's not any huge amount of harm in them taking their time. Rushing is what gave us the ending we got.

I love how modest the woman is.

She's a freakin' legend in the voice acting business, and I too, am sad that she'll never get to voice Shepard again.

Although props to Meer, he really stepped up his game this time around.

My thoughts exactly.

And I must be the only one that isn't terrified of Miss Hale's picture.

I don't know about you but I think we need a different picture of her, it's just downright creepy.

But if you want the article that actually shows that Casey took it upon himself I can send it to you. I can tell you that my anger shifted from Bioware straight to Casey. Bioware is still gold in my eyes, just not the lead writer.

P.S. Why is the captcha an advert about pizza?

She's still one of my favorite voice actresses, I loved her role as Alex Roivas in Eternal Darkness and, of course, as FemShep.

It's kinda dissapointing to hear that she's not recording new lines for whatever BioWare has in mind.

I'm really gonna miss Jennifer Hale as FemShep :(
I think it's great how attached she became to the character too. Hale is downright awesome.
I didn't even come to comment on the ending, I just came to gush :D

One of my friends went into a 20 minute long explanation of the Indoctrination Theory. I was politely listening, and another friend came over and was like "GUFAWWW, desperate attempt is desperate'. Then hilarity ensued.

It appears you're not alone in your fear. I actually think it's a nice photo, in its own way. She looks like she's about to voice-act the bejesus out of something in style.

...well, that or I'm just blinded by how gorgeous her haircut is.

Well of course she isn't being called to voice new lines for Shepherd because the voice acting for the actual ending is already recorded and in a week or so they'll have it finalized and released. The indoctrination theory will be confirmed, my faith in BioWare through this whole nonsense will be vindicated and everything will be lovely forever.

Oh, I'm sorry, that sound means that my denial has reached critical levels, excuse me.

And you "150% missed the point" of his quote. Yeah, Martyrdrebel is trying to be a martyr and is raging moren' a bit too hard at what she said.

However, his point was that Hale, like several others, said that a big part of this is people not wanting to let go of Mass Effect. For many, the issue is that the ending is a huge shift in tone and style, contradicts the lore of the series on several points, and violates several of the basic rules of storytelling for no good reason.[footnote]Of note here, I do think that violating basic rules of storytelling can be interesting and compelling, but to be pulled off it requires really good writing. The ending of Mass Effect lacks that quality.[/footnote]

Now that I've talked about that, I want to end on this note: Jennifer Hale is awesome and I want to have her babies.

That does not bode well. But Bioware has mostly been sending signals of adding clarity and closure, not correcting the broken state of the ending. Now clarity will only make things worse, but closure is great and you do not need Shepard to give that.

My personal thoughts on how they could provide it would be just making a post-game "where are they now" in the style of dragon age (not Fallout because they have voices over it). It's just text with a picture, but it would help give the game some kind of ending.
