Fictional characters you'd date for non-physical reasons

I'm sure someone's done a thread about listing fictional characters you'd date before, but this one has a bit of a twist. The characters you list can not be listed for physical or sexual reasons, not "because he/she's super hot", no "because I'd like to do things to him/her", etc.

I'll go first! (little note here, I'm Bisexual so expect both men and women on this list)
Wallace from Scott Pilgrim
He's exactly the kind of guy I'd enjoy dating, fun loving, great sense of humor, Intelligent but not show off-y, responsible but not stiff, and his personality just seems like it would synch up well with mine.

Misery from Ruby Gloom (are you watching that show? watch that show.)
I have a weird attraction to depressed people, I see them and just want to hug them, I can't fully explain it but there's something about the way she's so used to getting struck by lightning several times a day and everything just falling apart on her all the time that she just shrugs it off that I find incredibly heartwarming.

Tali'Zorah vas Normandy from Mass Effect
I'm one of the few who have still not played Mass Effect 3 and have my best to avoid spoilers, so I still have no idea what tali's face looks like, but frankly I don't care because Tali is one of the most unique and interesting characters I know of, and that's actually one of the main things I look for in a partner.

A Hermit's Cave
Haydee from le Comte de Monte Cristo

Balalaika from Black Lagoon

Balsa from Seirei no Moribito

& Cassandra from numerous versions/re-tellings of the Iliad

... do I need to justify my position?

Emma Emmerich from Metal Gear Solid 2. Geeks are very attractive.

Also, Marigold from Questionable Content. I've read 2,500 manga books, and I'd love to date a girl who could beat me.

That works for me as those would never be the reasons I would have to date them anyway.

Anyway um....
Terra Branford from Final Fantasy VI - because she's cute and shy, but always wants to help people. I'd do more than date her, I'd make her my whole world. ...uh if she were a real person naturally.

Kagome from InuYasha - Yeah she can be a bit rough around the edges and a bit vindictive at times, but her kindness and willingness to help others always blew me away. Too bad that even if she was real her heart already belongs to someone else. Meh. :(

Bianca from Dragon Quest V - She's sweet and kind, although her accent would drive me nuts I think.

EDIT: Oh I forgot one:
Chihiro from Persona 3 - because I adore the cute, sweet, and shy types, always have.

No, only if you want to.

Mrs. Emma Peel.

Why? She is charming, intelligent (genius level), kicks-ass (literally, she kicks people's asses), thoroughly emancipated and modern, very stylish, amazing sense of humor, appreciates the arts, can fence, has a lot of passions, hobbies, & interests, you could go anywhere with her, is well travelled, speaks multiple languages, she could teach me bridge, if we moved in together our pad would be swinging, she can dance...she is just awesome sauce all around.

Hathaway from Lewis. Any day of the week, he's just amazing (intelligence is the most attractive quality a person can have in my opinion)

Wrex from Mass Effect. LOVE. THAT. KROGAN. And this picture officially makes me want to cry.

I'm torn between Cosette and Eponine from Les Miserables. Seriously, it's an impossible decision.

Hmmm, others... Vin from Mistborn because she's cool as hell, Alex Hunter from White Collar because she's suave, (and let's be honest, the looks help), Y.T. from Snow Crash, Beatrice from Much Ado About Nothing, and I think I'm sensing a pattern here. And although she's not fictional, I always thought it would be fun to date Madam Pompadour too. There's more, but realizing these women aren't real always makes me a little bit sad.

Probably Chie Satonaka.

Not really sure what it is about her, but during my playthrough of Persona 4, she was the female character I choose to get into a relationship with. I just... like her, I guess.

Also, she's really active, which is something I probably need. She'd get me off my fat ass and exercising.

I used to have crushes on both Sheena Fujibayashi from Tales of Symphonia, and Tali form Mass effect.

I used to crush on Sheena, not because of her (apparently) large breats like most of her other fans. Rather, I like her because she had a certain inner strength to her. She put on a brave face all the time, but was always cared of failing, and had a deathly fear of the summon spirit she had failed to defeat (which then killed half the people from her village). And yet, despite that, she would push herself to her limit to protect those she cared about. And she overcame her fear and although it cost her dearly, she defeated that spirit, and then helped save the world. Not to mention she was smart and a NINJA SUMMONER. That's just plain awesome.

As for Tali...At first I found her annoying. Then, I started to see how she was actually smart and competent, just a little inexperienced. Then ME2 came around and HOLY SHIT Tali became a badass. Gone was the child of ME1. Instead she was a competent and badass adult. Yeah, she was still as shy and insecure as ever, but she gained a backbone and was always willing to dive into the fray. Also, she said "if the admiralty board wants more out of me, they can go to hell!". I haven't gotten around to ME3 yet (It's sitting on my shelf, I'll get to it once I beat Xenoblade, and once I get that HDTV for my room) so I don't know what happens in it...But hopefully it will be awesome.

And actually, I see a lot of my current girlfriend in Tali. Both are shy and super considerate, and both are super nerds. And there's a few other things too. :p It's kinda funny.

Oh man, I used to love that show as a kid. Everyone thought I was an emo kid because I used to watch it all the time. To them I say, "fuck you, that show is awesome".

OT: I have a major crush on Xion from Kingdom Hearts

Her story is so sad and I'd totally help and comfort her through her sad times.

Misaki Ayuzawa from Kaichou wa Maid Sama!
She's strong, independent and has rock hard determination to do whatever her goal is.
Which is everything I'm not. So I would hope that she'd be able to improve me.

Myron Bolitar from Harlan Coben's novels, Simply for his charm and sense of humour.
Also definately would date Win from the same novels, mainly for his psychotic personality and extremely hilarious wit.

Heather Mason, from Silent Hill 3. Yeah yeah, I know you said "non-physical reason" but I got to state that I find her attractive, even though she's all pixels and polygons.
Anyway, she's witty, has a wicked sense of humour, doesn't take shit from anyone and she can be a total ***** one moment, and the next one, a sweet angel.

I was always quite fond of Raine, pragmatic and wise but a massive nerd over archaeology.

The Monopoly man, he's fucking rich.
