Fictional characters you'd date for non-physical reasons

Merril from Dragon Age 2.
Coupled with her low understanding of human culture, it just makes her adorably awkward. Also, she's a little insane and I like a little insanity. ^.^

Tali - I've always liked her character for whatever reason
Ashley from Resident evil 4 - I don't know why but I geuss I just wont to win against Leon even though he turns her down
Any girl from Katawa Shoujo - play it, you'll get it. Except Rin, I couldn't deal with that type of artist.

V, Robbin Hood, Lisbeth Salander, Tyler Durden. I have a thing for anti-heroes, so dark yet not evil.

To be honest I do not think I could date for purely physical reasons, In fact if some is simply physical attractive yet mentally hideous I would not likely even sleep with them.

There are three (well, four) girls that stand out to me, mostly because they are pretty much all the same girl:

Hanako from Katawa Shoujo,
Hinata from Naruto Shippuden,
and Fluttershy (if I was a pony, or if she had a humanized version), from My Little Pony.

Annndddd Tali from Mass Effect. They're all pretty much the same, and all have attractive personalities.

Some extra girls would include Lilly and Emi from Katawa Shoujo, because they both have awesome personalities too, and have both made a huge emotional impact on me.

No one comes to mind. Not to say I don't like anyone from fiction, just I don't want to meat them.
Not sure if spelling error or clever sexual pun...
It was a clever pun, yeah because I meant to do that. Yeah I did. SHUT UP YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!!!!

Debra Morgan from dexter

Don't know why I just love her character, fowl mouthed, closed off, aggressive, funny... the perfect woman... Or is that just me?

Artemis Fowl of the book series of the same name.

He starts out as a grade A jackass who does some pretty low things in his past... And I'd probably have to learn to get used to the prickly side of him... His ego, a very strong tendency to snark(but then again EVERYONE in that series does at one point or another), unwilling to get his hands dirty or exert himself, very poor social skills, and a strong tendency to keep secrets, to lie, and to manipulate those around him to meet ends(both reasonable and not). But he is a good person deep down and it becomes evident pretty early on in the series that he isn't that awful a person. The negative parts of his personality also 'improve' as he developed so I can imagine getting to like the guy after the initial pains. He is also very dedicated and caring to those he cares about in his own way. I imagine him being a very devoted(if not standoffish) boyfriend.
See, I always thought his character started cool, but then he met the fairies, and he got the environmentalism bug, crippling him and turning him into a pussy.

Also, Marigold from Questionable Content. I've read 2,500 manga books, and I'd love to date a girl who could beat me.
I prefer Hannelore although that really would be a non-physical date.

My brain is confused because I see a lot of characters that look like fanbait eyecandy.....

maybe that's just anime style of having everyone but a few token comedic relief characters look attractive, but it feels like the physical reason is a part of the character choice as well (if you know what I'm sayin *nudge*)

I think that's one of my major gripes with anime/manga style. I know there are some people that are attractive AND have good personalities, but when all the shy nerdy girls look the same as the popular idiot girls except for the bosom size(sometimes) and hair style......yeaaaa......I just can't ignore my brain to get past it. I mean, they DO need to sell their show...and we know japan.....

There isn't enough variation in facial features because everyone chooses to draw the same. Its lazy! I hate lazy animation with a goddam passion, and anime is a big offender. They sacrifice too much animation for the same overly complicated and static environments. You know why people like shows over books? ANIMATION.

[sub]you see what anime does to me? sigh....[/sub]

I'm torn between Cosette and Eponine from Les Miserables. Seriously, it's an impossible decision.
I'm with you about Eponine. She's one of my favourite characters.

Disregarding anything physical about him, going just by personality I'd probably add Gavroche onto that too. I know he's a young kid which is creepy but if we're just going by personality here, I find him far too awesome to even pretend otherwise.

There isn't a single fictional character I'd want to meet, for any reason. The concept is rather silly to me, now that you mention it.

Nobody. Fictional characters are not people. They are devices, however much one might like 'em.
Killjoy! This is purely hypothetical, you know, 'If these characters were real etc. etc.'

Kinzie Kensington from Saint's Row 3. Anyone who's played the game (Which I recommend) can probably see where I'm coming from on that one.

Simon Seville from Alvin and the Chipmunks.
Oh come on, stop looking at me like that...he's cute, and I mean that more than just physically. I gotta think he'd be fun and easy to talk to, and more than capable of an intellectual conversation when the mood strikes. Even if not 'date', a close relationship would be lovely.
...not good enough? Oh fine then...

Rin from Katawa Shoujo.
I have a thing for artists, I'll admit. I admire them probably more than any other kind of person, and Rin is the embodiment of that. She suffers for her art, tremendously, and struggles to communicate with people because there's a constant disconnect between what she wants to say and the words to say it. She struggles to open up or anything of the sort because she's completely unable to read herself enough to figure out how she feels in the first place.

I sympathize with her deeply, and she has an extremely quirky wit and honesty about her as a result of her issues. She'd be a great person to be around, assuming the enjoyment is mutual.

I'd date Kratos to singlehandedly wipe out all forms of homophobia and Gay hate everywhere...

Or perhaps I'd just make people even more afraid of gays...

Another vote for Garrus from Mass Effect. He was my Shep's bro throughout the series and I definitely fell for (in character) his personality. I went for the "obvious" (in terms of physical attractiveness) love interest in ME1 - Liara, but after that it was Garrus all the way.

a little bit, though her personality seems a bit irritable and forceful, and her favorite kind of music is my absolute least favorite, so i can see that becoming a SERIOUS problem.

as for me, hell if i know, i cant think of any female characters besides Faridah Malik (deus ex, human revolution) because my brother has been playing it alot the last few days. and all the other female characters i can think of i cant think of personality reasons why i would date them.
