I liked Doom a lot. Like the OP said, not the best movie, but still enjoyable. X-men 3, in my opinon was pretty good. Chronicles of Riddick was pretty good too
Doom. Amazing 15 min FPS scene, yet murdered by critics.

It was a good movie with Jason Statham with good story and a complet mindfuck
A lot of people dont understand the meaning of it and thats why they hated it.

At first it have like a 4 out of a hundred

but its one of my favorites
it fucks with you but you love it anyway

and i agree with pretty much everyone here

A lot of people and reviewers hated Transformers for some reason. I loved it. Still good for a dull evening.

But the main reason why a lot of action movies score low, is because of the reviewer. If you get some snooty, stuck-up reviewer who only watches boring and dull European dogmas, of course any movie with lots of explosions, racial/sexual stereotypes, and cliche one-liners is bound to get a low score.
They should hire some average Joe Jockstrap to review action movies, because he'd actually be capable of enjoying them.

You too it seems. I thought it was awesome. Kinde felt like a Mad Max movie on a jetski.

I know quite a few people butchered it in reviews...But I loved Cloverfield...I guess it was just the fact that it was a new (or not used often) or camera work and a different take at a monster movie...I still get angry at the reviewers who docked a point or star because the panic was too much like 9/11...Sorry everyone doesn't file out slowly like in the Happening (or whatever that movie about flowers making a suicide plague for humans was)...I prefer realistic (for the most part) reactions...

Sorry for the rant...

Have you seen The Ladykillers? Even geniuses have their missteps.

As for answering the topic, I really enjoyed Underworld and it's recent prequel. I also thought Terminator: Salvation was a lot of fun.

EDIT: Reign of Fire. Critics hated that gem of a monster movie, right?

Woah! I totally forgot! The Unborn! The acting in it, completely awful. But when the horror kicks in, I'm ducking down in my seat and whimpering to my friends to tell me when it's over. xD

X-Men 3, X-Origins Wolverine, The Village...generally, I'm not too critical about the movies I watch. Hell, I even enjoyed Spidey 3.

I would say "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" is one of those films that got critical acclimation and I just fucking couldn't stand.

And this coming from someone who has seen "Kung Fu Hustle" countless times.
That would be because Kung Fu Hustle is fucking awesome.

Reign of Fire was fantastic. Didnt realise that critics didnt like it....
Like someone else said, all films should be reviewed by someone who actually knows what they are talking about!

Max Payne (stylish noir, kind of like David Fincher except sort of ham-handed)
Death Race (especially when Joan Allen starts flipping the fuck out)
Eagle Eye (sure it's absurd, but it's a good time)
Sleuth (I love Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh...)

Critics loved Juno.

Me? Every single line of dialogue out of Ellen Paige's mouth made me cringe. I didn't even finish it. Good date movie my ass...

Yes they did, and man were they wrong. That movie kicked copious amounts of ass.
Agreed. It was a hell of a lot better than that travesty of a movie, Dragon Wars.

I like Uwe Boll's movies.

I laughed harder at Postal than I have in years.

Tunnel Rats was an excellent war movie.

THE DIRECTOR'S CUT OF HOUSE OF THE DEAD IS HILARIOUS!

I OWN THE BLU-RAY OF IN THE NAME OF THE KING!
Initiate: Purge

Your account will be terminated in T-Minus 5 minutes. You will then be removed from existence, as you are a living paradox. Uwe Bolls movies cannot be enjoyed, it is a law of physics.

T-Minus 4 minutes.

Make your time.

I didn't like Max Payne. Just felt far too cliched (or however you spell it) and they used the same plot twist twice which was a shame seeing as I thought it was brilliant the first. Didn't like the ending either.

Rant Over :)

Bad Boys I + II. I don't care if it's typical Michael Bay, those movies are pure fun!

On the flip side, everyone seemed to love Let the Right One In, but I couldn't get through it - I pulled out the DVD at twenty minutes. It was the most misinformed direction a vampire film could take. [small]Save for Twilight[/small]
This entry is %100 percent opposite of what i would write.

sorry dood ,we may never be friends :)
