Films that make you cry

I'm putting up a few more votes for The Muppet Christmas Carol, Toy Story 3, Jurassic Bark, and The Luck of the Fryrish.

That damn scene when Kermit and Miss Piggy and the three children are all sitting down for Christmas dinner and then the music comes up into the foreground and the camera pans back to Tiny Tim's empty chair with the abandoned crutch. . . goddamn. It's so poignant.

Also, as cheesy as the movie is, I can't believe that anyone who has lost a long-lived pet would be able to get through the end of Marley & Me without tearing up.

Any Twilight movie. Put on of those on and I weep for the loss of innocence in today's youth.

I cry at Buffy episodes.

I'm pretty sure it's okay to cry at the ending of Season 2. Heck, even the closing credits paper cut-out zombie was looking for a hug.

Marley and Me and Click, yea, the Adam Sandler one

Click with Adam Sandler made me cry too, and it's very hard to hide your tears when you are in a room with around 10 other family members.

I'd also mention Grave of the Fireflies, but I tend to be to shocked to cry when my soul is mercilessly crushed.

No film has ever made me cry so bad as The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. From scene one to the end, there's a constant lump in my throat.

Edit: And yes, the opening of Up tore me up as well.

I would say Grave of the Fireflies, but I just realized that I never actually cried during that movie. The movie doesn't make you cry, it leaves you as an empty, emotionless, husk of a human being in a state where you WISH you were able to cry cause that at least would mean you were still alive (and that's only at the half way point).

As for actual tears crying, just some advise, if any of you ever want to see a grown man cry plop him down in front of the Land Before Time, or Never Ending Story (or Neverending Story 3 if he grew up with the first one) or Up, or really almost any of the beloved, well remembered kids movies from the 20th century would probably do the trick.

Into the wild, Pursuit of happiness and i know theres something else that gets me balling when i even think about it but i cant remember, though thats probably a good thing.

The bit in Inception, where Fischer finally opens the safe and pulls out the little paper windmill just as his father drops dead, has had me in tears every time I've watched it.

I didn't cry at that movie, but my mother did, true story. My grandpa died a few years ago, and part of me thinks that her watching of that scene carried kind of the same symbolism as it did in the film, and that's what affected her so strongly.

OT:
The last one I had seen was Mary and Max, and it's absolutely wonderful. I will tell you the same thing I said the last time I posted about this movie: It's on Netflix Instant, go watch it, and then you'll understand. I thought it was just me, and then as soon as I finished the movie, I was bawling my eyes out.

I can also cry during Metropolis, the 1927 Fritz Lang version, depending on the version. If it's the original, I'll shed a tear because of the female character Maria's face. It's so pretty. If it's the Giorgio Moroder version, I'll cry because it's a wonderful love story.

Harry and the Hendersons, Wall-E and Brave Little Toaster will do it too.
